The National Enquirer story about former presidential candidate John Edwards’ meeting at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with his alleged mistress and the child they had together, has been ignored by mainstream media. Fox News did corroborate that Edwards was there, and that the potential Democratic VP nominee was not registered as a guest at the hotel.
Now the U.K. Sunday Times has broken the overseas silence on the Edwards allegations. “Sleaze scuppers Democrat golden boy,” the newspaper’s headline reads.
“Gotcha: Senator John Edwards, whose wife has cancer, has been caught in a sex scandal that ends his vice-presidential hopes,” the subtitle hits again.
Will The New York Times, The Washington Post, alphabet networks, and other major media players report the story now? The LA Times asked bloggers not to blog about it…….

California Burning Sunday Evening
About 10,000 acres have burned. At 2PM local time officials said 2,500 firefighters were battling the blaze including a STRIKE TEAM FROM MONTANA has assumed leadership. No homes have been lost although flames got close enough to melt irrigation systems. The winds have stayed down today, and unless something bad happens this evening it looks like the fire will be contained by midweek. Helicopters and aircraft amd buzzing around like moths to a flame. Nevertheless white legged tourist in outragous shirts showed up in Santa Barbara in droves this weekend as usual to gasp at $5.15 gasoline prices.
Wright’s Sunday Speech To NAACP To Be Carefully Watched.
The Detroit chapter of the NAACP is featuring Barack Obama’s longtime minister, Jeremiah Wright, as keynote speaker at its annual Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner this Sunday. It is billed as the largest annual sit-down dinner of African Americans in the country. At least 10,000 people are expected to hear the Rev. Wright speak.
The question on most lips is will Wright make his trademark denunciations of America as an oppressor of blacks and a creator of the AIDS virus to kill them off?
“When you take the t-e-x-t out of context, you’re left with c-o-n, and we have been conned,” Detroit branch NAACP President Wendell Anthony explained as he announced the dinner’s speaker at a news conference. If Wright shouts anything like, “Goddamn America,” the context will flow like sewage into Indiana, North Carolina and across the nation to Obama’s deficit. Stay tuned.
