McCain Reaches 50% In Polls Now Given 53-46% Chance Of Winning

McCain with wide leads in terms of experience, leadership and in the ability to protect the country from terrorist.

Sunday’s Rasmussen poll has John McCain reaching the 50% level of support for the first time. McCain retains a three-point advantage for the third straight day, 50% to 47%

Rasmussen Markets data gives McCain a 52.7 % chance of victory while expectations for Obama are at 46 %. The biggest shift in perceptions since the index has been coined. McCain is viewed favorably by 57% of the nation’s voters while Obama earns positive reviews from 53%.

Only one national poll - the NBC/WSJ poll –  has Obama ahead of McCain and then by 1%. Rasmussen, Gallup, Fox, AP, ABC, CBS, USA/Today all see the opposite by an average of 2.3%. CNN and Newsweek say the race is tied while USA/Today has McCain-Palin leading by 10%.

The “internals” show McCain with wide leads in terms of experience, leadership and in the ability to protect the country from terrorist.

The hitherto hushed discussion of the so-called “bubba vote” those who would never vote for a black for President and blacks who will only vote for another black is surging into everyday conversation.

Media Temper Tantrum

A good day for Republican Women is a bad day for the press

The attack on Sarah Palin scares me. The media no longer even tries for impartiality. They are full force against her and are pulling out all the stops to attack this woman on all levels. They have stooped so low that they even published her Social Security number, address and phone number simply to harass and possibly endanger her and her family. The media doesn’t care if they contradict themselves or who else they take down just as long as they get Sarah Palin.

I never thought I would hear the liberal media suggest that a woman should stay at home with her infant rather than work, but I heard it. I never thought I would hear the same people who fawned over the movie Juno now imply that it is a sign that this teenage girl was “forced” to have the baby because of her mother’s values. I never thought I would hear the same people who defended Obama’s lack of experience go after someone for their supposed lack of experience.

Sometimes I feel as if I am watching a two year old having a tantrum. They are howling and screaming and stomping their feet on the ground. They were so sure that McCain would pick Romney or some other white male who they were sure they could beat. But this? McCain did it again. True to his maverick nickname he picked an unknown woman. And the liberals and media were taken unaware. They really don’t like that. The media is so damn smug because they are always in the loop and know what will happen before the little people do. Not this time.

So the media and liberals are angry. McCain didn’t play by their rules and for that they want to punish him. They will tear Sarah Palin apart and make McCain regret he ever picked her. Except in doing so they are showing their true colors. They are looking more and more like a pack of wolves going after their prey. And it isn’t simply the TV reporters but even the scandal papers like US are going after Sarah. She is being hit from every side while the liberals begin whisper campaigns to raise doubt about her by hinting that McCain might drop her. He won’t. But as I said the liberals will try everything to take down the McCain and Palin ticket. And for the stark fact that they are afraid this ticket might win. And that scares them.

CNN says VP may be orator of “nice guy, not ready to be President”

Nice guys can be president

Please read this fast, my text may go off anytime…

CNN has reported from Denver that Bayh from Indiana and Kaine from Virginia have been told they are not going to be the Vice Presidential pick. Also, they confirmed that Hilary Clinton was never vetted for the position despite Obama assertion much earlier that Hilary Clinton would have to be on “any one’s short list”.

In announcing earlier that he had made his pick, Obama said it would be somebody who would challenge him, initially increasing the heart rate for Hillary supporters.

Reports tonight from Denver, indicate gray hair and negative net worth Joe Biden who probably knows how many homes he has, a real working man who takes Amtrak to work from Delaware and who said in the earlier debates about Obama, “nice guy, not ready to be President”.

Biden is known for shooting off his mouth but also getting things done. Gravitas some say Obama needs more of and McCain needs less of.

Catholic Biden also has advanced the theory that no one can hold Iraq together now that strongman Saddam Hussein is gone and that it would be necessary to divide Iraq into Kurdish North, Sunni Central and Shia South. Have not heard much from him on that recently.

Gotta go, gotta go, that my text! You will get yours later. Maybe several hours from now. Like approximately 4 to 6 AM in DC. But you already know what it will say, so sleep late.

Obama’s Bio

Keep moving

CNN had two interesting features last night; one on McCain and the other on Obama. I am not sure if I learned many new things about Obama but this was the first time I saw his life laid out in a chronological order. It is both impressive and scary. Underneath his friendly demeanor is a man who goes to almost any length not just to win but to undermine his opponents. Based on that CNN show and Biography.com I have put together a timeline of his life including how he won (or lost) each of his elections. I think this gives a look into his life and what we might expect from him in the future. To help, I have included his age after the year and key political events in his life are in red.

IReporters on CNN Pan and Praise “Black in America”

CNN more than reportsVeronica Delacruz reported on CNN that comments from blacks included that they are tired of the whole race focus and do not think the much promoted CNN feature “Black in America” portrayed the average black man.

Who invited those racially insensitives to the CNN pity party?

Some of course praised it and demanded someone do something about it.

Black in America” adds some more well known examples of a poorly performing group in America but mostly it adds fuel to the fire as does the aging and irrelevant Jesse Jackson in the style of “steal my soul away,” the victim and related anachronistic approaches to improving lives by placing blame on the victimizer. You.

That is unlike “MLK: Words That Changed A Nation“, also by CNN’s Soledad. Inspiring, with useful information, many of us, regardless of race, probably still do not know.

Houston, we do have a problem but it cuts most importantly not along the lines of race but of poverty and under achievement, which visits all races to varying degrees and each with it’s different histories. Kind of like people as individuals, we all have, to a person, a unique history along with our commonalities.

Society will always lean heavier on some individuals, races, nations, neighborhoods, clubs, religions etc andNever Never Never Give Up - Winston Churchill Black and White Magnet so on. Get over it. MoveOn. Get a life, do all that you can do, become all that you can become. Persevere.

My white ancestors were discriminated against and taken advantage of by other whites, rich and poor, by blacks and probably more. Some of them overcame and prospered and some did not do as well. As Frankie sang, “That’s Life”.

I feel bad for anyone, regardless of the reason, for any distress. Humans have feelings for other humans and even Bill Clinton could mostly only feel your pain (don’t go there) but was not really able to help except for when the economy was strong.

No law could have been written that would have protected my ancestors or most down and outs today, against the sometimes dark heart of mankind, which shows up all too often….not entirely in our power, other than what we as individuals do.

We can add to the problem by harming others or not taking care of ourselves, or looking to others to make everything OK, or we can do something that at least has a chance for a more positive outcome, focus on our own self reliance while being good citizens.

What is it that every President has done per CNN Report?

Let's Gamble with these grapesLet me guess, flop flop? Yes, but that’s not all.

According to the American Academy of Ambassadors says we are the only country in the world that sends out political appointments who are “unqualified” and which sends out a message of arrogance and “disrespect” to the host country.

Clintonite Leon Panetta, says such appointments are a political reality, a reward in exchange for campaign support and while reforms are necessary it is not going to go away.

A Bush State Department spokesman says it is probably a good idea to have a blend or something like that…my recorder stopped working.

A blend of what?

Of incompetence and competence, by design?

Ah, yes, like a blend of wine with some expensive grapes, some cheap grapes and there you have it, a fine foreign policy vintage in it’s own time

No Wine before it's time by bovine winemakersBut is it possible the Academy has an agenda too?

Jeffrey Toobin of Best Political Team On CNN, “ITS OVER”

Now that is taking a standOf today’s 19 to 8 vote by the Democratic Party Rules Committee to only give the Michigan Delegates one half votes, he says many of those 19 votes were from Clinton supporters on the committee and that is the signal that it is over.

Additionally, there are only three days to get past the final primaries on June 3 and that the call by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to all the SuperDelegates to place their markers down right after that and indicate who they plan to vote for at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August, does seem to seal Hillary’s long shot continuing campaign because she “is the best candidate”.

He allows for no possibility that there remains a Hail Mary chance for Hillary as president. He did not opine at the same time about the Vice Presidential nomination.

Robert Wexler told Wolf blitzer that an Obama/Clinton ticket would be a very exciting ticket but that would be up to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Toobin also said that Howard Dean is to be congratulated for unifying the party and that the Rules Committee Co Chairmen, Jame Roosevelt and Alexa Herman were to be congratulated for pulling together a very unruly committee which contained a majority of Clinton supporters.
