Who am I?

My name is Deb Della Piana and I've been writing for more than thirty years. My background has largely been in advertising and public relations, although I've spent a fair amount of time on creative writing.

I spent about 23 years working in Corporate America before being laid off in 1997. Immediately after, I started my own small ad agency, which did well for a while before hitting the skids, crashing and burning. Much of that had to do with the economy at the time, but I had help from start-up companies who refused to pay bills incurred by previous administrations and one client in particular who paid me with a counterfeit check, then disappeared. Needless to say, the thought of running such a business again is out of the question.

While I am always in the market for freelance assignments, I spend a lot of time these days as a liberal political blogger. You may not recognize the caricature here, but this is my persona as the lead liberal writer for hypocrisy.com, a multi-partisan site where I'm often outnumbered by my conservative detractors. That doesn't, however, dissuade me from taking the positions I do. I also have my own liberal blog at Turn-Left. Please feel free to visit and comment often on both sites!

I also contribute to several other sites, including OpEd News, the Political Voices of Women Community, and Open Salon.

If you're in need of humor to deal with today's political situation, please visit my site at http://chuckleheads.hypocrisy.com! Chuckleheads is just beginning. We are in the process of making the site content-rich.

And if you like to cook, you can visit my Good Karma Kitchens blog at http://goodkarmakitchens.hypocrisy.com. Like Chuckleheads, this site is in its infancy, so please come back and visit often to see the changes and upgrades.
