Super Tuesday

NBA Pauses for DNC Debacle

Dems are jamming today! The so-called RULES COMMITTEE of the National Democrat Party will meet and rule on the apportioning and seating of delegates from the “bad boy’s and girl’s states” of Florida and Michigan. But, its ruling can be appealed to the CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE TO SEAT OR NOT any delegate or delegation, and such a challenge can apparently be brought by almost anybody and would have to be ratified by the entire Democrat Convention when it meets in Denver, Colorado in August.

Meanwhile there will be more pontificating, puffing, preening and posturing by the pair of champion shadow boxing narcissists continuing their elaborate Kabuki performance “supported” by a veteran vaudevillian troop called PDR (Pelosi, Dean, Reid) with bit players; walk-ons and fly-overs named Edwards, Carter and Gore.

That seems embarrassingly certain to continue to attract and nurture an ever more despicable assortment of lunatic-like actors, costumed as clergy, parading before an exaggeratedly swaying congregation with a seemingly inexhaustible pharmaceutical supply.

Look for code words like “suspended campaign” and “unification” reading ever more like the infamously flaccid League of Nations Charter. Let the hugging and cheek kissing begin; I suppose a remaining question is what cheeks.

Romney Will Throw in The Towel

ALERT: John McCain effectively sealed the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday as chief rival Mitt Romney suspended his faltering presidential campaign.

What is the Non Partisan, Practical Moral to this Story?

Trade is Spinning

Tsunami Tuesday Turtorial

Cliff Notes for Tsunami Tuesday

Tomorrow is TSUNAMI TUESDAY twenty-four states hold some voting contest on Feb. 5, with 1,681 Democratic delegates and 1,023 Republican delegates to the national presidential nominating conventions on the line. A candidate needs 2,025 delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, and 1,191 to win the Republican nomination.

I can't wait

The problem with the Republican Party is there are too many Republicans in it, a lifelong Democrat insists on repeatedly telling me. Ann Coulter, the willowy wild woman, is saying she will vote for Hillary if McCain is the GOP nominee, and Rush is in a similar rant. They and so-called Obamacans (Republicans threatening to vote for Barack Obama)

Polls Narrow for Democrats, Widen for Republicans

How accurate are they?ALERT: Hillary Clinton has only a 43% to 39% advantage over Barack Obama among Democratic voters nationwide according to a Gallup poll released at midday today EST – the first national poll since Edwards left the race. McCain leads Romney 37-22% a jump for McCain of 6% since Wednesday’s Giuliani withdrawl and endorsement of him. Huckabee appears stuck at 13% and Paul has virtually nothing.

The farleft website MOVEON.ORG has endorsed BARRACK OBAMA

A Dream Team Deal Can Be Made Between Hillary and Barack

UnbeatableI speculated quite some time ago that the Democratic Party could almost lock up the White House if Hillary and Barack were on the ticket together. I believe that even more today with the same caveat that it must be done before too much political damage has been done to each by the other, making a union impossible.

Is a Private Time Table a Time Table or a McCain Dirty Trick?

Are they?Romney evidently agrees that he said - paraphrased, “There is no question Bush and Maliki must have a series of private timetables they speak about (between themselves) but we do not want them (terrorists in Iraq) to wait in the weeds until we are gone”

McCain has characterized that statement as supporting a timetable during the time frame when McCain very publicly campaigned against any kind of time table and for the Surge and against Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld finally fell under the weight of McCains’ continuing criticism.

At the time, many thought he was politically dead because of his support for the very unpopular Surge. How is it, that it seems to have become even more unpopular today because nobody is talking about it

McCain and Clinton Won Florida with Consequences

Tsunami Tuesday Feb 5, 2008McCain won Florida Tuesday; Romney was second despite spending millions, Giuliani was a fading third followed by a distant Huckabee and inconsequential Paul. Rudy Giuliani quit immediately after the results were posted and endorsed John McCain Wednesday. Clinton beat Obama and Edwards neither of whom campaigned in Florida. Democrat John Edwards also dropped his campaign Wednesday morning. Speculation is Edwards has made a deal to be Attorney General or maybe for an Ambassadorship.

Bad Florida, bad, bad Florida, You Don’t Count

Great for the BeachFlorida will pay for it’s performance in past presidential elections by being banned fromCome on down, no politicjing 2008. Democratic candidates are vacationing in Florida but refuse to campaigning there.

“A Woman in Charge” by Carl Bernstein & The Republicans

A Woman in Charge: The Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton (Vintage)Hillary held center stage tonight Jan 24, 2008 indicating what Carl Bernstein called her in his book “A Lady in Charge.”

Tonight, she was very much “in charge” of the Republican debate. Most candidates were more prepared to campaign against her than other Republicans. They seem to be looking beyond a potential Obama win in South Carolina, to Hill & Bill in the Final Two contest in November.

1/24/2008 Thursday, Conservatively Speaking

M

onday night Democrats had the HIP BOOT DEBATE in South Carolina that had their three remaining presidential candidates wading around in a hog wallow of slung mud sponsored by CNN/BLACK CAUCUS. It was the most heated and acrimonious thus far. If looks could kill Barrack would be dead. Aside from the mutual if inconclusive splattering the most interesting part was the closing segment that the three spent discussing how Democrats could defeat Republican John McCain next November.ABC

Clinton and Obama bickered and gnawed on each other leaving Edwards to whine that it was a three and not a two person debate. The crowd was mostly with Obama. It is axiomatic that when three people are running and two are attacking each other the third wins. That would make Edwards the winner but not last night. Obama marginally took a split decision. But, no minds were changed.

Wednesday morning ABCs Good Morning America clarified the various debate charges pointing out that both Clinton’s have made charges against Obama that are simply untrue and Obama tiptoed around the truth too.

Why Democratic Press & Politicians Will Dump Hillary

It's true love, not politicsThis was written January 23 and now that the voters, especially younger college age ones are confirming it’s forecast and awarding Obama state after state and delegate after delegate, one wonders if the Super Delegates will follow suit:

It seems growing numbers of the Democratic press, pundits, money types, king makers etc are joining Arianna some counterparts on the right and are either behind This Movie or want to avoid having to talk about and relive it’s contents during a Clinton Third Term.

The Black African American Barack O’bama, may be the least controversial Democratic candidate remaining. This despite his unique background, with a white mother from Kansas, whose father was from Kenya and barely knew Barack, and whose step father took the family to Muslim Indonesia to live. And this despite relatively radical politics of his youth when he at least experimented with serious drugs by his own account.

McCain Envy Reigns

Sourh Carolina Envy“We have been sort of like John McCain, but not completely” per Barack Obama? Yes.

Hillary and John Edwards did not question what Barack meant by that sentence, which surely requires some explanation, because they were stumbling over each other to say why they could beat him (McCain).

Mitt & Mike must also have McCain envy right now and be chaffing at the bit to lock horns with McCain in Florida and are no doubt praying for a Super Super Tuesday.

Forecasts that this goes all the way to the convention in Minneapolis are a bit far fetched but the back room deals for VP might .

Duncan Hunter who recently dropped out of the race endorsed Huckabee.

Ringggg-Ringgg-Hello? Oh, Hi Michelle (as in Obama)

Nice of you to callVery Paraphrased:

“I am Michelle Obama and I am calling everyone I know who wants to put a Democrat in the White House. Push 1 to help. Barack is the only one who can make that change happen. Push1 to help.”

There were probably a couple more push ones to help and then there was a part I missed just before she said”you may call 303-825-3481 for more information.”

After the conversation was over, I wondered if it was too late to push 1 to help.

Thank goodness for the national do not call list, now politicians have fewer competitors for household interruptions. What hypocrisy.

Michican Dems Divided in Myrtle Beach Debates Jan 21, 2008

Myrtle Beach? It started out as as an Irish slug fest between Hillary and Bill, and Barack, who complained about also having to compete with the previous president who was joining his wife in misinforming voters about Baracks history. They each landed political punches, he said while he was helping the poor in Chicago she was sitting pretty (my words) on the Board of Directors at WalMart Corporations. She said while she was fighting against the policies of Ronald Reagan he was helping his slum lord in Chicago.

Can John of JohnCan Fame, Remove Rudy’s Mask?

What’s Behind that Grin?A dozen senior campaign staffers for Rudy Giuliani are forgoing their January paychecks, aides told Associated Press Friday, a sign of money trouble for the Republican presidential candidate that he denies. His Florida “firewall” is on fire as McCain takes the lead there. Republican Romney is said to be consulting his personal piggy bank and if he loses South Carolina, although he’d be politically dead, he’d likely stick around.

It snowed in Baghdad Friday for the first time in 100 years and some residents are calling it an omen of peace – hey it worked for the Green Bay Packers. Maybe for McCain too.

Now, it’s all about the Wallet

Fill it Up!A

year ago everybody knew the next President would be elected based on Iraq, illegal immigration and terrorism, and once again “everybody” was wrong. It is now all about a slumping economy exemplified by the per gallon price at America’s neighborhood gasoline stations. No amount of White House or Wall Street assurances; or highfalutin sounding puff will mean squat doodle if those gasoline price billboards stay where they are or, as predicted, continue to increase.

Hillary Clinton upstaged everyone Friday in a Los Angeles speech calling for a $70 billion economic stimulus package. By Saturday critics were hammering the idea of “vote buying”

Democratic Press “Hills, uh, has too much exerperience”

Press is like Girls? The Clinton Machine, not for the first time, has been taken back by relatively small numbers of Iowas voters.

But that is not the real problem for the Clinton Machine to overcome this time.
