Debates
MoveOn.org Lip Quivering Mad.
moveon.org?” src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51V8V93G2RL._SL160_.jpg” alt=”12 angry men” hspace=”10″ width=”89″ height=”160″ align=”left” />MoveOn.org immediately mounted a protest petition campaign against George Stephanopolis, Charlie Gibson and ABC News after last Wednesday’s debate in Pennsylvania saying (they/it) “spent the first 50 minutes obsessed with distractions that only political insiders care about—verbal gaffes, polling numbers, the stale Rev. Wright story, and the old-news Bosnia story. And, channeling Karl Rove, they directed a video question to Barack Obama asking if he loves the American flag or not.” Because, according to the radical left website “”Debate moderators abuse the public trust every time they ask trivial questions about gaffes and ‘gotchas’ that only political insiders care about. Enough with the distractions—ABC and other networks must focus on issues that affect people’s daily lives.”
Other leftist blogs and websites joined in with similar complaints. Conversely most in other in moderate, conservative and if you prefer “normal” communities did not see the debate that way; are not complaining, and in fact a majority called the 21stdebate the most productive to date. Nationwide Americans the things that MoveOn.org is complaining about do matter to them.
A post debate Rasmussen poll released Friday had the race in the Keystone State at 47-44% Clinton over Obama. Last Monday, Clinton was leading Obama 50% to 41%. Six percent (6%) of Obama voters say there’s a good chance they could change their mind before voting. Only 2% of Clinton supporters say the same.
GUN-TOTING GOD NUTS REJECT BARACK.
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton squared off last night in a debate that failed its billing of determining which one will be the Democrat presidential nominee after next Tuesday’s, April 22nd Pennsylvania primary.
Both are running low on patience with the other and could barely remain civil amid a barrage and counter barrage of increasingly nasty TV ads in the Keystone State. Neither expected to be fighting it out in a debate two and one half months after the now infamously inconclusive SUPER TUESDAY PRIMARIES.
Post debate a record number of undecided Democrats told Frank Luntz’s focus group they’d vote for McCain depending on which one the Democrats nominate. But, the debate did not appear to change many decided Democrat minds. Clinton’s lead hs been slipping in Pennsylvania but pundits and Pennsylvania Governor Rendell think Clinton can still pull off a 10% win picking up 200,000 votes. Rendell is notorious for saying
Obama can not win in Pennsylvania.
Obama’s “bitter” castigation of gun-toting God nuts had begun to bite him as Hillary has squirted out to a 9-point lead 50-41% according Rasmussen polling. The schism was stark with Clinton leading among voters who say faith and religion are Somewhat or Very Important. Obama leads among those who say such topics are Not Very Important or Not at All Important. Among voters from households where someone owns a gun, Clinton leads by seventeen points. Voters from other households are more evenly divided.
Obama - Clinton Debate in Critical Texas Tonight
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will debate tonight at 5PM from Texas. The debate could be decisive because Clinton has declared that Teas is a must win for her on March 4th and she is statistically tied with Obama (50-48%) in today’s CNN poll. It is likely whoever prevails in the debate will get a bump in Texas, and move into the lead at least in the Lone Star state.
Is a Private Time Table a Time Table or a McCain Dirty Trick?
Romney evidently agrees that he said - paraphrased, “There is no question Bush and Maliki must have a series of private timetables they speak about (between themselves) but we do not want them (terrorists in Iraq) to wait in the weeds until we are gone”
McCain has characterized that statement as supporting a timetable during the time frame when McCain very publicly campaigned against any kind of time table and for the Surge and against Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld finally fell under the weight of McCains’ continuing criticism.
At the time, many thought he was politically dead because of his support for the very unpopular Surge. How is it, that it seems to have become even more unpopular today because nobody is talking about it
Republicans enjoy nice nice, even a little foot in mouth by Huckabee, no matter
There was a Republican debate Thursday night in Florida. It started like reading the survivors list from the Titanic – a lot shorter than it was originally. Romney, McCain, Giuliani, Paul and Huckabee more or less agreed that the proposed Bush-House economic stimulus package is good but does not go far enough, fast enough or long enough.
Bad Florida, bad, bad Florida, You Don’t Count
South Carolin Broke the Laws of Illegal Discriminations
And Barack broke the curse of all candidates of not winning a majority, proceeding to resoundingly trounce Hillary 2 to 1 with some 18% going to the Native Son Edwards who is very encouraged at the results of his taking the high road, positioning himself as the adult who will stay in the national campaign and is on good financial footing. Have you noticed that in unequal ways, candidates in pursuit of voters and even voters themselves have a legal advantage which if attempted can get employers and murders in BIG trouble? What’s with that?

“A Woman in Charge” by Carl Bernstein & The Republicans
Hillary held center stage tonight Jan 24, 2008 indicating what Carl Bernstein called her in his book “A Lady in Charge.”
Tonight, she was very much “in charge” of the Republican debate. Most candidates were more prepared to campaign against her than other Republicans. They seem to be looking beyond a potential Obama win in South Carolina, to Hill & Bill in the Final Two contest in November.
Republican Debate Thursday January 24, 2008
Brian Willians asked Rudy Giuliani why his poll numbers were so terrible, half of what they were. The response is there are various polls and what the voters care about is the issues. Rudy has been mentioned negatively by the New York Times, some Republicans believe he should be proud of that.
Huckabee came out strong for the war in Iraq defending that ithe Bush invasion as worthwhile and a big part of our current safety.
Romney addressed the kitchen table issues of the economy, housing and energy costs. He joked, perhaps, that he can not think of any thing worse than having Bill Clinton as R. First Dude, back in the White House with nothing to do. That and using Barack Obama’s own challenges to Hillary gave him the upper hand tonight.
Michican Dems Divided in Myrtle Beach Debates Jan 21, 2008

It started out as as an Irish slug fest between Hillary and Bill, and Barack, who complained about also having to compete with the previous president who was joining his wife in misinforming voters about Baracks history. They each landed political punches, he said while he was helping the poor in Chicago she was sitting pretty (my words) on the Board of Directors at WalMart Corporations. She said while she was fighting against the policies of Ronald Reagan he was helping his slum lord in Chicago.
Error, Dissemble or Lie?
Tonight in the Las Vegas debates, after Tim Russert asked John Edwards if his talking to Pakistani President Musharraf right after the Bhutto Assasication was appropriate given the belief by so many Pakistani’s that Musharraf was involved, Edward painted his wagon into a corner and I certainly hope I am not the only one to have noticed.
I posted this to “Poke The Press” because Tim Russert did not “ask appropriate followup questions” he asserted he would do just before the debates as a way to get to the truth. BAD, BAD Mr Russert.
In other venues I heard him say that he called Musharraf.
Schools Can’t Do It All
In tonight’s debate, Barack O’bama made a statement that I will always remember and may tip my vote to him.
He said that as a product of a home without a father, he knows first hand how important a father in the home is and that schools cannot make up for a missing father. {No matter how much money we through at the schools}
Bill Clinton did not have his father in his home. He had an alcoholic step father for a while.
I admire Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, flaws and all.
