Peculiarly Obama is running around willy-nilly declaring his own political and diplomatic impotence crying “Mommy, Mommy.”

Egypt and Turkey have formed what could become an alliance against Israel, that could result in war against Israel.

“For the first time, the two major states of the eastern Mediterranean are aligning against Israel,” the report, titled “Could Israel and Turkey Go to War?” said. “This is the most important shift in Levantine politics since Camp David or even since 1949 when Turkey recognized Israel.”

Turkey was said to have been transformed into a belligerent state similar to Egypt under then-President Gamal Abdul Nasser in the 1950s and 1960s.

Turkey and Israel are at dangerously opposing ends of Levantine politics,” the report said. “Not only is Ankara no longer a trusted friend of Israel, but it has also begun to emerge as the key regional actor opposing Israel.”

“This new balance is a serious threat for Israel, which must now consider an increasingly hostile Turkey and an ever colder and unfriendly Egypt when it evaluates its security environment,” the report said.

If mortally endangered Israel will use its Sampson option and use its nucler arsenal.

Absent U. S. learship the situation could desolve into a vicious regional conflagrtionnwith the potential to drag the world in war.

N.Y. Times rejected former New York Mayor’s Koch’s letter to the editor about Obama and Israel. He called the NYT’s editorial “disingenuous” saying it misrepresented why he endorsed Republican victor Turner over the Democrat trying to fill disgraced Congressman Weiner’s seat. The Times campaigned for the Democrat and overtly supports Obama.

Russia’s Foreign Minister dealt another setback to Obama ’s Rodney King-like foreign policy to conclude a missile defense agreement with Moscow, telling reporters that U.S. and NATO broadening missile defenses would prompt an increase in strategic nuclear deterrent arms. The whole brouhaha started when Obama abandoned both Poland and the Czechs who’d been promised missile defense, and got nothing in return from Russia

“The U.S. missile defense system in Europe is being created in the parameters set by Washington,” foreign Minister said. “The Russian administration has said many times that these parameters may create a threat to the Russian strategic nuclear forces by the end of this decade.”

“At the same time, Russia is not given guarantees that the U.S.-NATO missile defense system would not be targeted against it,” he said.

U.S. officials have said Russia remains ideologically opposed to U.S. missile defenses and is only interested in missile defense talks as a way to limit the defenses or to obtain valuable U.S. missile defense technology, such as kinetic kill high-speed interceptor know-how.

The foreign minister said that beefing up missile defenses would force Russia to do something in compensation in order to safeguard its strategic deterrence potential.

The U.S. and NATO refuse to sign legally-binding agreements with Russia as Moscow insists that would limit the defenses.

Russia indicated the U.S. would not agree to Moscow s demands, going back to 2008, of a legally binding pact that would codify the idea of not ensuring one’s security at the expense of others.

The failure to do so will lead to the return of the Cold War and the ideological stereotypes of the 19th or 20th centuries, which would be a blunder in the face of global threats that endanger all members of the international community,” the Russians said.

Millions of trees are accidentally planted by squirrels who bury nuts and then forget where they hid them!

In a moment reminiscent of Will Rogers admonition that international “friendships” end when America’s money runs out the United States has lost leverage over Egypt, a report said despite Obama doubling down with $1.3 billion in aid that has been scooped up by the Brotherhood, and just as Israel is building a virtual fence along it border with Egypt and as both are sending troops to the border. Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood is reportedly been a big buyer of Libyan weapons including poison gas, and likely with U. S. taxpayer dollars.

The Washington Institute for Near East Policy has determined that Washington no longer has leverage over an increasingly Islamic Egypt. In a report, the institute said U.S. aid, particularly military assistance, can no longer ensure that Egypt would maintain stability in the region. Obama burned through a box of chap stick kissing the Muslim Brotherhood’s back side in what we were told was the way to peace and to keep it from usurping control and instalkling a radical Islamic regime there. In a breathtaking repudiation that failed.

As the report says, “The potential for Egypt’s revolution to take an anti-democratic turn - either toward more radical, anti-West policies or toward a new authoritarianism - is frighteningly high,” the report said. “No matter which path the Egyptian revolution takes, Egypt-Israel peace, in any tangible sense of the term, is almost surely a victim.”

Obama’s promised U. N. veto of would be cataclysmic for the United States, for Israel and for the Palestinians. Extensively Obama’s immediate challenge was to prevent an Islamist government in Cairo and that has failed. That makes him a laughing stock and weakens the U. S. worldwide.Obama’s $447 billion jobs package is really designed to bail out weak Democratic (Blue) states, a new study finds.

The plan seeks funds for infrastructure, education and other projects that states should fund but cannot.

Many blue states have run up state debts, as nationwide, state debt is running around $3 trillion - tack on another trillion or even more if unfunded pension liabilities are factored in.

“These vast contributions to the coffers of state and local governments, though pitched as a jobs bill, are in reality the latest in a series of bailouts for debt-ridden state and local governments,” Paul E. Peterson and Daniel Nadler, both Harvard academics, write in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece.

“They are of special benefit to states in the blue regions of the country where the president’s most fervent supporters reside.”

A Harvard Program on Education Policy and Governance study finds states with legislatures that are heavily Democratic and have a highly unionized public-sector work force must pay interest rates that are often an extra half a percentage point higher than those in red states.

“In short, the bond market has concluded that the more unionized the state and the bluer its political coloring, the riskier it is to hold bonds marketed by that state,” Peterson and Nadler write.

So Obama will bail them out with money disguised as a national jobs bill for infrastructure not unlike FDR’s Work Progress Administration that build 150,000 outhouses called the most expensive toilets on earth at an average of $10,000 a copy or $169,000 in 2011 dollars. Government supplied plans included  the Brick Sh*t House and the prhase “built like one” costing almost $300,000 a copy in 2011 dollars. Regardless when the outhouses, highway, dams and such were built the jobs ended

Oprah Winfrey invented TV Celebrity Doctor Oz  is being lambasted for shoddy science and irresponsibility for saying apple juice is harmfully contaminated with arsenic and is therefore dangerous. The Federal Drug Admiistration (FDA) wrote OZ twice taking the most severe contrary position as did juice manufacturers.  Anyone who has taken high school biology and chemistray knopws that arsenic occurs naturally in its non-toxic, organic form whereas inorganic arsenic is toxic. On Thursday Dr. OZ was backing and filling on ABC’s Good Morning America when ABC’s own Medical Correspondent said he was outraged and what OZ was doing is indeed irresponsible.

Because the average American has a sixth grade understanding of science Dr. Oz could easily cause hysteria or worse.

Arsenic has many beneficial uses including:

    • As an additive to animal food to prevent disease and to promote growth.
    • As medical treatment of cancers such as acute promyelocytic leukemia.
    • It is also used in medical solutions such as Fowler’s solution for psoriasis
    • Arseenic-74 an isotope is being used as a way to locate tumors within the body. It produces clearer XRAY pictures than that of iodine.
    • It can be used to kill parasitic insects such as bugs that eat the above ground geeen foliage on potatoes, turnips and others.

I would not necessarily sprinkle it on your morning cereal. Nor would I take what some celebrity doctor says while clutching at TV ratings as gospel.

Military sources said Egypt and Israel were sending forces toward their joint land and sea border amid the threat of an attack from Sinai. They said intensified Israeli naval and army operations have raised the prospect that forces would enter Egyptian territory and spark another crisis with Cairo.

“There are many elements in Egypt, particularly in the military, that are itching for a confrontation with Israel,” a military source said.

Cairo has complained of a series of Israeli incursions into Egypt’s air and sea over the last month. The sources said the Egyptian military was still smarting over the death of at least six soldiers by Israeli fire in late August during a pursuit of suspected Palestinian and Egyptian insurgents in Sinai.

On Sept. 11, an Israel Navy warship was said to have entered Egyptian territorial waters near the Sinai coast. The sources said a Super Dvora patrol vessel strayed 700 meters into Egyptian waters and was immediately recalled by commanders.

“The ship’s commander has been prosecuted and imprisoned,” an Israeli military spokesman said.

On Sept. 9, an Israeli civilian vessel crossed into Egyptian waters near the Straits of Tiran in the Red Sea. The Egyptian Navy captured the yacht that carried Israeli employees of an unidentified private security company. Hours later, seven Israeli security guards were released by Egypt.

The Israeli incursions were said to have helped spark an Egyptian backlash that led to the takeover of the Israeli embassy in Cairo on Sept. 10. About 1,000 Islamists, believed mobilized by the Muslim Brotherhood, destroyed a concrete barrier around the embassy and ransacked embassy offices.

The sources said Israel has sought to increase border coordination amid Palestinian and Al Qaida-aligned attacks from Sinai. They said the Israeli military has maintained unmanned aerial vehicle and helicopter patrols to detect insurgency infiltration along the southern Egyptian-Israeli border, particularly near the port city of Eilat.

“I do not see Egypt as an immediate threat, but we have to be ready for that and be careful with what we are doing,” former Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi told the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism on Sept. 12.

Last weekend Muslim Brotherhood activists stormed, captured and burned the Israeli Embassy in Cairo.

Israel and Greece have invoked the mutual defense pact they signed secretly only 12 days ago in the light of heavy Turkish sea and air movements in the eastern Mediterranean. sources report that this was decided in a long nocturnal phone conversation Wednesday night Sept. 14 between the Israeli and Greek prime ministers, Binyamin Netanyahu and George Papandreou, and at Israel’s expanded cabinet of eight, which was called into session over the Turkish threat to its off-shore oil and gas rigs.

The Greek Prime Minister added to the information recorded so far on Turkish fleet movements in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. He was particularly concerned by the observation flights suddenly increased in the past 48 hours over the Greek island of Kastelorizo in the southeast Mediterranean just two kilometers from the Turkish coast. Those flights are escorted by Turkish combat jets.

Athens fears a Turkish attack on the island, whose population is fewer than 1,000, and an attempt to damage or seize it. Israel suspects that a Turkish attack on the Greek island will be the signal for Turkish military aggression against its oil and gas platforms located in the Mediterranean between Israel and Cyprus. Papandreou said the Turks are capable of surprise attacks on additional Greek islands near the Turkish coast.

Ankara would be acting on the pretext that Israel and Cyprus have no right to mark out and exploit the gas and oil zones of the eastern Mediterranean - a fuel-rich region known as Block 12 - without the consent of Turkish Cyprus (the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus - TRNC). Turkey also backs Lebanon’s complaint that Israel is robbing it of its natural resources. Talks between Lebanon and Cyprus to resolve this issue broke down. Beirut refuses any discussion with Israel.

Neither Jerusalem nor Athens has disclosed in what way they have invoked the new defense pact.

Military sources surmise that in the first stage, Israeli navy and air forces are to be posted at Greek Mediterranean bases. The two intelligence agencies are already sharing input.

Up until now, Israel could only respond to a Turkish threat from its own borders. With a presence at Greek military bases, Israel will be able to operate from the rear of Turkish forces in the event of an attack by those forces in the Mediterranean.

Monday, Sept. 12,  Ankara dictated conditions for Israel to obey in order to keep its navy afloat free of Turkish aggression:

    • 1. Israel vessels are prohibited from taking action against Turkish ships heading for the Gaza Strip. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has declared “null and void” the UN report confirming the legality of Israel’s blockade of Gaza.
    • 2. Israeli warships crossing the 12-mile line bounding its territorial waters will be challenged by Turkish warships, which are instructed to approach them to within 100 meters and “disable their weapons.”

This threat covers not only shipping bound for Gaza but also Israel’s oil and gas drilling platforms which are more than 60 miles out to sea.

Israel’s political and military spokesmen have been trying hard to downplay the Turkish menace. On Wednesday, Sept. 14, they brushed aside reports of Turkish naval and air movements in the eastern Mediterranean. After the cabinet of eight’s meeting, the official line was that Israel is practicing “restraint in contrast to Turkish wildness” and they should be given time to cool down. In any case, the US and NATO were closely monitoring the crisis Ankara is generating with Israel, Greece and Cyprus, and won’t let it degenerate into Turkish military action.

But both Israel and Greece appear to know better: They decided to invoke their mutual defense pact - not before obtaining a green light from Washington - because they believe the Turkish threats indicated by its military movements are real and tangible.

The Israel Defense Ministry will oversee a project to build a so-called “virtual fence” along the 205-kilometer (128 mile ) border with Egypt. They said the project, estimated at $500 million, would be conducted in stages and scheduled for completion in 2012.

Officials said the military and government have been working on plans for a ground attack on Kurdish rebel targets in northern Iraq. They said thousands of infantry troops would be backed by fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft in an operation coordinated with the Baghdad government.

“A ground operation could be conducted at any time, depending on negotiations with the neighboring country [Iraq],” Turkish Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin said.

Officials said Turkey, amid nearly daily air attacks, was conducting high-level talks with Iraq for a joint operation against the Kurdish Workers Party. They said the discussions included a counter-insurgency commitment by the Kurdish Regional Government, accused of harboring PKK.

Uber Lberal Ralph Nader, of Unsafe At Any Speed infamy said Thursday he will send a letter to a targeted group of 40 former university presidents, retired congressmen, progressive business leaders and civic activists and ask them to challenge Obama in 2012.

“The pitch is this: Look, take six months off from your routine, form a slate, challenge Obama in the primaries,” Nader said on Fox News.

The letter will go out in “a few days,” he said.

“If he’s not challenged from the progressive liberal wing of his party that elected him, there’ll be a very dull campaign,” Nader said.

A two-time independent candidate, Nader said it’s “very unlikely” he will run for president.

The U.S. Navy is testing a substance to replace steel in the warhead of missiles.

The Office of Naval Research said it was combining several metals to increase the explosive impact of most weapons with little or no compromise in strength or design. The office said the composite would replace steel in missiles for the Navy and Marine Corps.

“Recent testing and demonstrations have consistently shown that the new casings can be integrated into naval missiles and are durable enough to withstand both high acceleration of missile launch and the forces exposed to during the detonation event,” Clifford Bedford, the Navy’s energy conversion program officer, said.

Officials said the so-called High-Density Reactive Material (HDRM) would integrate the casing with approved warhead explosives for increased lethality and accuracy. They said the design for fragmenting warheads allows release of chemical energy after impact, increasing the probability of a kill.

“The HDRM fragments can penetrate a target’s skin, followed by a rapid and sustained combustion/explosion,” Bedford said.

Officials said HDRM, last tested in late June, would increase the explosive impact of warheads without any reduction in strength. They said the material, deemed a breakthrough in weapon design, has been tested since 2006.

HDRM is scheduled for a large-scale demonstration against multiple stationary targets in September. Officials said HDRM contains the strength of common aluminum alloys with the density of mild steel.

“This is important because, in order for existing weapon systems to maintain probability of a hit, they must have a density similar to that of steel,” the navy said.

This is thought to be the most major advance in exploding ordinance since one of the first uses of hollow metal shells used in the 1421 siege of St Boniface in Corsica. The Chinese used exploding rockets for centuries before and fuzed exploding mortars. There is evidence of exploding shells being used in the early Ming  Dynasty  (1368-1644).

The rapidly evolving scandal surrounding a $535 million government loan to Solyndra, a California solar energy company, that shuttered its doors and filed bankruptcy last week, has now been connected to the office of Vice-President Joe Biden.

Emails obtained by investigators for the House Energy and Commerce Committee and released to ABC News demonstrate how deeply involved the White House was at the highest levels in fast-tracking the approval of the politically well connected start-up in direct conflict with numerous private as well as government warnings that the survival of the company was very doubtful.

On March 10, 2009 according to ABC a White House budget analyst warned in an email that “This deal is NOT ready for prime time.”  That followed an email from Ronald A. Klain, Chief of Staff to the Vice-President on March 7 that said, “If you guys think this is a bad idea, I need to unwind the W[est] W[ing] QUICKLY.”

The White House and the Department of Energy pressed forward and fast-tracked the approval of the first green energy loan of the Obama Administration in March, 2009.  In addition to questions about possible political cronyism and corruption, the terms of the loan included a subordination of the taxpayer’s interest to private investors and the lowest interest rate of any such loan approved by the Obama Energy Department.

As reported earlier this week on these pages, numerous industry analysts had raised questions about the viability of Solyndra’s business model.  Peter Lynch, a solar industry analyst, explained in simple terms to ABC News the folly of Solyndra’s plan; “It’s very difficult to perceive a company with a model that says, well, I can build something for six dollars and sell it for three dollars.  Those numbers don’t generally work.”

In 2008, the investment analysis agency Fitch rated Solyndra “B+” - right between “highly speculative” and “speculative.”  Dun & Bradstreet rated the company only “fair.”

PricewaterhouseCoopers had filed a public audit with the SEC that Solyndra “has suffered recurring losses from operations, negative cash flows since inception and has a net stockholders’ deficit that, among other factors, raise substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern.”

New information disclosed that Solyndra first approached the Bush Administration for a loan.  That request was denied during the Administration’s final weeks in office.  Solyndra ramped up lobbying efforts with the new Obama Administration taking advantage of the billions earmarked in the new President’s $800 billion economic Stimulus legislation.  Company executives visited the White House meeting with some of the Administration’s most highly placed officials.  Those visits included four by a principle investor in Solyndra that was also a major contributor and bundler for Obama’s 2008 campaign in just two days the week prior to the announcement of loan approval.

In the early days of the Obama Administration, the DoE analysts were questioning the risk of the Solyndra request.  One exchange was particularly prescient saying, “a major outstanding issue” was that Solyndra’s financial numbers showed the company would run out of cash in September, 2011.  It did.

Not only did the Obama Administration ignore all the warning signs and the advice of their own government analysts, Barack Obama scheduled a visit to Solyndra in 2010 to hail the company as “leading the way to a brighter and more prosperous future.”

For months before the collapse of Solyndra two weeks ago, Energy Department officials had been sitting in on regular board meetings apparently blind to the facts.

Questions of company operations and political corruption have already prompted investigations by the FBI, the Inspector General for the Energy Department, and the House Energy and Commerce Committee who will begin hearings tomorrow, September 14.

That New York Times article said “California’s Economic Development Department reported that $59 million in taxpayer money dedicated to green job training and apprenticeship “has led to 719 job placements - the equivalent of an $82,000 subsidy for each one.”

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona has constituted a special law enforcement posse to investigate allegations brought by members of the Surprise, Ariz., Tea Party that the birth certificate Barack Obama released to the public April 27 might be a forgery.

The posse, under the authority of Arpaio’s office, will consist of two former law enforcement officers and two retired attorneys, headed by Michael Zullo, a retired police detective originally from Bergen County, N.J.

Zullo and with Arpaio’s office that the investigation into the Obama birth certificate has been sanctioned fully by Arpaio’s office. The investigation, they said, will be conducted with “utmost diligence,” and the investigators will be authorized to utilize subpoena power.

Light Squared a Virginia company that claims to be able to provide broad band internet service to the entire nation via satellite has raised concerns that its technology will interfere with military systems critical to national defense. It turns out Obama is an investor in the company as are key Democrat donors to Obama.

The four-star Air Force general who oversees Air Force Space Command walked into a highly secured room on Capitol Hill a week ago to give a classified briefing to lawmakers and staff, and dropped a surprise. Pressed by members, Gen. William Shelton said the White House tried to pressure him to change his testimony to make it more favorable to LightSquared and its investors,

LightSquared CEO,Sanjiv Ahuja says his company was not trying to use politics to affect the regulatory process and the firm’s goal was to expand broadband access across America. If the company’s proposal is approved by the FCC and other regulators it would mean tens of billions of dollars in profit to the company and its investors the military’s concerns have been a principle imediment.

Hughes Net offers high speed internet service , like Direct TV does for TV programing by satellite nationide and it is unclear how the services differ.

Of California it is said if you throw out all the fruits and nuts all you’d have let are the flakes and never more so than the judges on the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals the most overturned appeals court in American history. In a decision rendered by the court on Friday, they upheld a high school teacher’s right to defame, degrade and debase Christianity in the classroom in front of students.

The case involves a Capistrano Valley High School teacher who regularly rants against even the existance of God calling that nonsense and says “When you put on your Jesus glasses, you can’t see the truth.”
