Three Georgia children were making money to go to a water park by selling lemonade were shutdown by the local Chief of police for not having a $50 per day City issued food and beverage sales permit even though the lemonsade stand was on their own property. The defecation hit  the impeller and until the park gave the children tickets it looked like the Chief would get a ride out of town on a rail sporting a fresh coat of tar and feathers.

Sunday, Iran accused the USA and Israel of masterminding the assassination of one of its top “nuclear” scientists. Assailants riding motocycles shot the 35-year-old five times kliing him while he stood outside a kindergarten with his wife. No one else was injured.

Iran does not admit his role as a nuclear scientist. Neither the USA nor Israel have responded to Iran’s accusations.

No President since before the Civil War has more divided America that Barack Obama. Democrats built their post-1960s political coalition upon leftists whites and uniting various minorities under a banner of diversity, and subsidies but polls now show that the white majority - especially in the middle class - has lurched away from the liberals and towards the GOP.

A Pew poll released Saturday showed that the GOP’s advantage among white Americans has climbed from 42 percent to 49 percent, giving them a 10-point lead over the Democratic Party’s 39 percent.

Obama is trying to regain ground among these whites, while he also works to maintain his lead among African-American and Hispanic communities. In his Friday Maryland town hall meeting, for example, Obama repeatedly announced his support for government programs such as Medicare, and soft-pedaled his repeated call for more taxes as “balance.”

Obama worships statism and secularism - he is the very antithesis of our Founding Fathers. He has put the United States on the path of civilizational decline and ruin. He, like those he worships, are determined to  sweep the Christian West into the dustbin of history. As his petulance clearly shows he is absolutely convinced of his rightness to the exclusion of any competing ideas that risk contracting his extreme ideology.

 The United States has appealed again to Iraq to buy F-16 multi-role fighters as a key part of its self-defense scheme to protect itself against almost inevitable Iranian aggression. A key part of Iraqi defense strategy must be the Kurds in the north and ensuring they can thwart Iran incursion in the mountain areas in northern Iraq. Of course an F-16 fleet would play an important ground support roe there too.

Officials said the Obama administration urged the Baghdad government to procure the F-16 over the next year. Officials said the Defense Department argued that the F-16 was vital to protect Iraq against any attack from neighboring Iran.

“When we leave Iraq, they will not have any means of protection for its air space, so an advanced fighter should be a priority,” an official said.

Officials said Defense Minister Leon Panetta has urged the Baghdad government to allocate funds for the first F-16s from Lockheed Martin. They said Panetta discussed the F-16 during his visit to Baghdad on July 11.

The Wall Street Journal said Iraq was prepared to reconsider the F-16 purchase amid unexpected crude oil revenues over the last few months. The newspaper said Baghdad would consider an offer to purchase up to 36 F-16 Block 52+ fighters.

In 2010, Iraq suspended a proposed $4.2 billion request to acquire 18 F-16s. At the time, the Defense Ministry cited a budget shortfall as well as government plans to invest in social welfare programs.

The Journal said Iraq has also raised the prospect of acquiring air defense systems and artillery from the United States. No details were given.

Iraq has denied the Journal report. Iraqi government spokesman Ali Al Dabbagh said the Defense Ministry has not renewed negotiations over the F-16.

“Iraq is determined to rebuild its air power capabilities, but the plan is postponed,” Al Dabbagh told the Bloomberg news agency. “The plan was postponed, but not canceled as we will rebuild our armed forces in the next few years when there will be more liquidity.”

The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multirole jet fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force (USAF). Designed as a lightweight day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Over 4,400 aircraft have been built since production was approved in 1976. Though no longer being purchased by the U.S. Air Force, improved versions are still being built for export customers. In 1993, General Dynamics sold its aircraft manufacturing business to the Lockheed Corporation,^]which in turn became part of Lockheed Martin after a 1995 merger with Martin Marietta.

The Fighting Falcon is a dogfighter with numerous innovations including a frameless bubble canopy for better visibility, side-mounted control stick to ease control while maneuvering, a seat reclined 30 degrees to reduce the effect of g-forces on the pilot, and the first use of a relaxed static stability/fly-by-wire flight control system that makes it a highly nimble aircraft. The F-16 has an internal  6-barrell “Gatling” gun M61 Vulcan cannon firing 6,000 20MM rounds per minute and has 11 hardpoints for mounting weapons, and other mission equipment. Although the F-16’s official name is “Fighting Falcon”, it is known to its pilots as the “Viper”, due to it resembling a viper snake and after the Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper starfighter.

Friday Norway was attacked with a massive bomb in Oslo and by a lunatic shooter disguised as a police officer at a youth camp killing nearly a hundred. Norway has granted asylum to a suspected terrorist, and has failed to extradite the man to Afghanistan. Recently that man has threatened reprisals against Norway and Norwegians but last week’s murders appear to be disconnected.

China’s People’s Liberation Army officially took their queue from U. S. liberals as it disclosed last week for the first time that China is developing a new aircraft carrier-killing anti-ship ballistic missile, the DF-21D, although it played down that development, and then called for cuts in U. S, military spending.

People’s Liberation Army Gen. Chen Bingde, chief of the general staff next criticized the Pentagon for “spending so much money on the military,” asking if it wasn’t “placing too much pressure on the taxpayers” during the recession.

“If U.S. could reduce a bit military spending to spend more on the improvement of livelihood of the American people and also do more good things for world people, wouldn’t it be a better scenario?” Chen said, echoing similar calls from liberal-left congressional Democrats and other so-called progressives.

Chen said during a press conference in Beijing with visiting U. S. Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen that the missile is “still under research-and-development process. It is not equipped yet.” He characterized the aircraft carrier missile as defensive

Chen then sought to minimize the significance of a missile the Pentagon has called a game-changing “area-denial” weapon designed to keep U.S. ships out of Asian waters. Hitting a ship at sea with a ballistic missile requires precise accuracy.

“Even though if, in the future, we are successful in research and development of this kind of weapons system, it will be a system for defense,” he said. His statements contradict those of Adm. Robert Willard, commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific, who said in December that the DF-21D was in the early stages of deployment after extensive testing.

To further play down China’s military, Gen. Chen said: “We are aware of the fact that what we lack most is the capability of long-distance [power] projection.”

A defense official said Chen is on the leading edge of a new PLA propaganda campaign, what the Pentagon calls “denial and deception.”

His comments were likely intended to prompt a re-evaluation of China’s DF-21D by U.S. intelligence agencies that studies have shown were chronically wrong or had underestimated China’s military for at least the past two decades, caused in part by accepting disinformation aimed at fooling analysts, according to the official.

A Lockheed official gave a predictably cryptic answer to questions regarding the the ability of the defense giant’s Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense system to protect against China’s DF-21D carrier killer missiles. One source said there was no U. S. defense against the Chinese missile.

“We’re constantly looking at the evolution of our Aegis BMD capability to keep pace with threats,” said Lisa Callahan Lockheed’s vice president in charge of the Aegis program during a phone call with reporters. “While I can’t talk specifically about the capabilities we have against specific threats…we are definitely working to evolve our system to keep pace with the threats as they evolve.”

Callahan refused to comment when pressed on whether the current Aegis BMD system can protect against the DF-21D.

Aegis BMD uses the mobility of Aegis-equipped cruisers and destroyers to permit intercepts during the ascent, midcourse and descent phases, as well as providing surveillance support to other elements of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).

The Aegis BMD element of the nation’s BMDS provides the capability for Aegis BMD-equipped ships to use hit-to-kill technology to intercept and destroy short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. Additionally, Aegis BMD-equipped ships provide surveillance and tracking of intercontinental ballistic missiles and work with other BMDS elements to provide advance warning for the defense of the nation, deployed U.S. forces and allies.

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the U.S. Navy are jointly developing Aegis BMD as part of the nation’s BMDS. A total of 25 ships - 21 U.S. Navy Aegis-equipped ships and four Japanese Aegis-equipped destroyers - have the capability to engage short- to intermediate-range ballistic missile threats and support other BMDS engagements using the Aegis BMD Weapon System and the SM-3.

A biggest bugaboo is that DF-21D is believed to have MIRV capability (Multiple independently targetable vehicle (warheads) with nuclear capabiility. MIRVs deploy soon after apogee meaning the BMS would have to be destroyed on ascent, in space afterward each warhead would have to be destroyed on descent.

Chinese Intelligence is reportedly favoring Romney and Huntsman to oppose Obama for reelection because they are the most pro-China among likely GOP contenders. Michelle Bachman is reportedly to be the least favored. China would prefer a second term for Obama because it feel it can push Obama around.

Ex-CIA official Robert Baer prediction last weekend that he believes an Israeli strike against Tehran is imminent; predicts US will have to get involved has created quit a hubbub. His assertion blatantly contradicts Obama’s reapproachment goal with Iran as his talk em’ to death scheme to somehow discourage Iran’s plans to dominate the region.

Israel may mount a strike against Iran this fall, longtime CIA officer Robert Baer, who spent 21 years in the Middle East, told a Los Angeles radio station last Saturday.

Baer ventured such a move will drag the United States into another major war and endangering US military and civilian personnel throughout the Middle East and beyond.

 Baer spoke on the provocative KPFK Los Angeles show Background Briefing, hosted by Ian Masters last Saturday.

Baer didn’t name any non-Israel sources for his prediction of an Israeli attack, but the few he did cite are all Israeli security figures who have publically warned that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was adamant to strike Iran, such as former Mossad Chief Meir Dagan.

Baer said that “There is almost near certainty that Netanyahu is planning an attack (on Iran)… and it will probably be in September (the 10^th anniversary of the Iran backed terror attack on New York City and Washington DC), before the vote on a Palestinian state. And he’s also hoping to draw the United States into the conflict,” he explained.

The ex-CIA official went on to guess that the Israeli air force would attack “Natanz and other nuclear facilities to degrade their capabilities. Iran has replaced centrifuges destroyed by the cyber attack opf a year ago. The Iranians will strike back where they can: Basra, Baghdad,” effectively forcing the US to “jump into the fight” with attacks on Iranian targets.

“Our special forces are already looking at Iranian targets in Iraq and across the border (in Iran) which we would strike. What we’re facing here is an escalation, rather than a planned out-and-out war…it’s a nightmare scenario. We don’t have enough troops in the Middle East to fight a war like that. I think we are looking into the abyss,” he said.

Obama is said to be toying with the idea of reapproachment with Iran likening it with Nixon’s trip to China.

Reputable intelligence predicts that Iran will test a nuclear weapon and have sufficient enriched uranium to build three more by 2012. Clearly this agitates Israel and others in the region that a nuclear armed Iran would be a mortal danger. Previously Obama has blocked Israel from attacking Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities to Israel’s embarrassment and chagrin.

Just when we thought no one could be more ascerbic or offensive than Democrat Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D) CA. along comes DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., whom a colleague from the state called “vile, despicable and cowardly” after she criticized his stance on Medicare when he was away from the House floor. Rep. Allen West, a first-term black Republican from south Florida, ripped her in an email entitled  “Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman Schultz,” he wrote among other things “You are the most vile, unprofessional and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut up.”

Wasserman is well known as a distaff Rahm Emanuel, now Mayor of Chicago, with his reputation for profanity, and vulgarity. Wasserman - Schultz is often labeled as the female in a pack of dogs. Woman are often referred to in personal pejorative terms while men are called “tough” when they act out but, or at least men can be punched in the nose.

The federal debt has increased by 35% since Obama has been President. The debt now exceeds the total economies of China and Japan combined.

Space shuttle Atlantis touched down on the Shuttle Landing Facility’s Runway 15 at 5:57 a.m. EDT on July 21. After 200 orbits around Earth and a journey of 5,284,862 miles, the landing at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida brought to a close 30 years of space shuttle flights.

A conservative group linked with Republican strategist Karl Rove has launched an ad campaign targeting 10 vulnerable House Democrats, including Congresswoman Lois Capps. Of course all are up for reelection in 2012. The ads show a cadaverous looking Capps whose newly reconfigured CA. 23^rd district makes her vulnerable. A decade ago the District was crafted to assure Capp’s reelection after she assumed the seat following her husband’s sudden death. The District was immediately labeled the Ribbon of Shame because it snaked along the California coast for over 150 miles shamelessly looping around Democrat enclaves, Had the new district been in place last election retired Naval office and local high tech businessman Tom Watson would now hold the seat.

The ads target lawmakers on tax and spending issues and for their support of President Barack Obama’s policies, including the stimulus package passed in 2009. Crossroads is spending $1.4 million on the campaign, or a little more than $100,000 per district - it is a significant ad buy in a House race for a third-party group this early in the election cycle, the Wall Street Journal said.

Anti-Capps ads are running on television stations in both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.

In 2010, Crossroads and an affiliated organization, American Crossroads, spent $38.6 million running ads against Democrats running for the House and Senate in tight races across the country.

More than 32 years after they signed a peace treaty, Egypt still regards Israel as its leading regional threat.

U.S. diplomatic cables reported tense meetings with Egyptian defense officials in which Israel was identified as the leading threat to Cairo. The meetings were part of a failed U.S. effort to modernize the Egyptian military so it could face a range of non-conventional threats.

“The number one priority is the defense of Egyptian land and the Suez Canal,” a senior Egyptian official said.

In a February cable, the U.S. embassy in Cairo reported a meeting with a senior Egyptian defense delegation. The delegation was led by Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al Assar, assistant to Defense Minister Hussein Tantawi, who urged Washington to release advanced technology, including anti-tank guided missiles such as the Javelin and TOW-2B. Egypt receives $1.3 billion in annual U.S. defense aid.

Recently Obama OK’d the co-production of the U. S. Abrams M1-A1 Main battle tank with Egypt ringing alarm bell in Israel.

Alliances are being redrawn since Egypt’s Mubarek was deposed and is now critically ill, and as Obama  had tilted away from the Jewish state in favor of Islamic regimes.

The City of London dinged Obama with a $200 fine for congesting traffic in the city during a recent visit. So far the American Embassy there has been fined some $8 million for such offenses which it refuses to pay citing the Geneva Convention.

People often say politics are worse now than ever but, consider:

• President Andrew Jackson’s wife Rachel was so viciously and personally attacked for bigamy she died at Christmastime before her husband’s inauguration. Reportedly she had a heart condition and the stress caused a fatal heart attack. The attacks on her included a pamphlet circulated by John Quincy Adams‘ supporters that asked, “Ought a convicted adulteress and her paramour husband to be placed in the highest offices of this free and Christian land?” The bigamy allegation were technically true due to legal papers being dlayed in the mails. Ol’Stonewall blames opponetsn for his wife’d death and never forgave them.
• Until the 1840s dirty tricks had been all but unknown in American politics. The first presidential election in which dirty tricks were played was in 1844. One involved a newspaper story put out by the boss of the Whigs, Thurlow Weed, about an alleged slaveholder named Roorback who supposedly came across some of Democrat James Polk’s slaves cruelly branded with Polk’s initials–proof allegdly that Polk had sold slaves to raise money for his campaign. It wasn’t true.

Another involved an attempt by the Whigs to demoralize leading Democrats; to persuade the Democrats that the campaign was going badly the Whigs sent out a letter to that effect supposedly written by some high party muckety-muck. Still another involved the printing up of phony ballots; the ballots mixed up the names of Democratic and Whig electors, which was intended to confuse voters.

After the Civil War poliitcs got increasingly nasty. Today and good portion of every campaign is so-called opposition research - meaning digging up and throwing mud.

• In 1880 the editor of the Truth, a New York scandal sheet, published a letter Presidenta candidatel James Garfield had supposedly written to H. L. Morey, the head of the Employers Union of Lynn, Massachusetts, endorsing the right of a corporation to hire the cheapest labor available, including Chinese labor. Garfield had not written the letter. It was a forgery and was proven so. But it threatened to undermine his candidacy in the West by tapping the powerful and destructive force of immigration and an anti-Chinese sentiment.
• The first election in which a dirty trick apparently altered the outcome was in 1888. Grover Cleveland was running for re-election against Republican Benjamin Harrison, grandson of Tippecanoe. Cleveland already was having problems because he had taken a strong position against a high tariff, weakening his support in the business community.Cleveland win. Grover Cleveland had a bastard child and was taunted with the rhymn, ” Ma! Ma! Where’s my Pa.” To which Cleveland supporters answered “Gone to the White House, Ha! Ha! Ha!

Less than half of all Americans believe in the American dream saying that Obama’s big government has failed main street USA. That level of confidence has dropped by 20 percentage points in the last month according to a Gallup poll. Those who believed in the American dream went into negative territory this past spring.

China says it will plant its flag on the Moon by 2025. Obama has scrapped any future U. S. Moon mission killing John Kennedy’s legacy and putting a final period to one of America’s most exciting eras that propelled millions to enter college, study science and math. Replacing it with a morose public education systems and skyrocketing welfare.

Putting pressure on an already lousy job market, the mass layoff is making a comeback. In the past week, Cisco, Lockheed Martin and Borders announced a combined 23,000 in job cuts.

Those announcements follow 41,432 in planned cuts in June, up 11.6% from May and 5.3% vs. a year earlier, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Meanwhile, state and local governments have cut 142,000 jobs this year, The WSJ reports, and Wall Street is braced for another round of cutbacks. This week Goldman Sachs announced plans to let go 1000 fixed-income traders.
