My title as Chief of all Hypocrites was earned the old fashioned way. Some think Mr and Mrs Hypocrite just named me Chief, but not so.

Shameless Demagoguing

The Chief Hypocrite says:

All of my demagoguing is shameful.

Trisha Roberts-Miller says:

Demagoguery is polarizing propaganda that motivates members of an ingroup to hate and scapegoat some outgroup(s), largely by promising certainty, stability, and what Erich Fromm famously called “an escape from freedom.”

This just in: Dateline Hypocrisy.com

  1. “Stunning that after demogoguing health care as shamelessly as they did the GOP is now whining that the Dems are picking on them for using “scare tactics” on Medicare. Any capacity for self-awareness anywhere in the GOP ranks?”
  2. Israel plans attacks on Republicans. How can that be after such a political lovefest reception for Netanyahu?
  3. “The Hypocrisy is mind blowing”
  4. Paul Ryan: Obama And Democrats Decided To ‘Shamelessly Distort And Demagogue Medicare’
  5. How to beat the Demogogues (i.e. Republicans)

Palin: Obama’s “Death Panel” Could Kill My Down Syndrome Baby

Aug 7, 2009 Sarah Palin was right. The democrats were caught red handed. So they quietly removed the DEATH PANELS from Obama’s socialized health care www.huffingtonpost.com/…/palin-obamas-death-panel_n_254399.html

Editors Note Per Chief:

Sara Palin was wrong. Rational discussions between patient, their families and their doctors to decide when end of life or life extension techniques are warranted and when they might want instead to choose to enjoy limited end of life time with families and favorite activities rather than in treatments, costly and uncomfortable and limited. Helping families decide is not the reason to demagogue Obama Care. There are too many warranted ways.

Paul Ryan is right. Something must be done other than continue with our current crash course demagogued as necessary to protect the people (make that voters).

BTW, what does a demagogue look like? Take your biased pick here, something for everybody.

  1. It’s real simple Chief. A demagogue is someone sans a spine. An unctuous rhetorician that preys on the desires and prejudice of a particular demographic in an attempt to gain favor and support. Someone who chooses the path of grandiloquence instead of leading by merit and wisdom. An orator who incites the masses which holds a hostile opinion about another individual or class of people. Such as the rich and the corporations that have been deemed the evil scourge of America. Prejudice is socially learned and usually comes from misconceptions, misunderstandings, ignorance, and inflexible generalizations. Something most all politicians, from both sides of the aisle, are guilty of. A classic example was the “Kingfish.” The Louisiana governor of the late twenties/early thirties, Huey Long. A more contemporary example, and more ad rem, would be the one Snark refers to as “The Dark Man.” Does that elucidate in a somewhat profound and un-couched manner?

  2. Celina, I know not whether you are sincere or sardonic with your words. You refer to me as having brains, I presume that means intelligence. I find myself no smarter, nor more obtuse, than any other afforded the educational opportunities I’ve had. I am nothing more than another member of the proletariat with an opinion, however, if you are truly interested I have many posts on this website–only none as of late. I find myself disheartened and somewhat misanthropic with my brethren and haven’t opined as much as I have in the past. Forgive me. If you read anything I have written and care to comment I would find that refreshing. Or, if you simply care to debate an issue, I welcome it.

    Love your name.
