At a breataking pace Obama is ending American dominance in the Middle East. Across the region, U.S. power is rapidly receding - and radical Islam is filling the void. It is a gift to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama has betrayed our allies and emboldened our enemies not only there but everywhere. He is making the Middle East safe for jihadists,  undermining America’s national security.

Contrary to the spin of the mainstream media, the fever that is sweeping the Middle East is not some long-suppressed desire for political liberty. These are not secular democratic revolutions.

To some extent they represent the manipulated fury of subjugated peoples who have been deeply embittered by decades of autocratic rule, corruption and the pro-Western policies of their leaders. Many of the demonstrators despise America and Israel. They want one-man, one-vote democracy only once - to erect a theocratic state based on Shariah law.

As the leader of the Free World,  Obama should be standing against this reactionary tidal wave. Instead, he is openly encouraging and embracing it. The result is that the United States is losing its influence in the Middle East, far East and just about everywhere else.

Obama’s doctrine mean a defacto retreat and defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan, the entire Middle East, Asia and Latin America.

China’s state-run media earlier this month accused the United States of preparing a cyber war, noting comments about the use of cyber capabilities in a new Pentagon strategy report.

The Renmin Ribao also reported March 15 that the United States developed and used the Stuxnet software that was used to attack Iran’s nuclear reactors by infiltrating control computers.

Commenting on the Joint Chiefs of Staff National Military Strategy, the report said the latest version shifts the U.S. strategic focus from Iraq and Afghanistan to the “network battle” and the Asia-Pacific region that the report said is “the new strategic focus of the U.S. armed forces.”

“A high-tech war led by the United States is brewing, and early signs of a ‘network battle’ can be detected,” the report said.

Recently, Stuxnet, a computer worm that the United States had secretly researched and tested, was said to have attacked the centrifuge system in Iran, leading to malfunctions and the disabling of 20 percent of such systems in the country, and delaying Iran’s plan to produce its first nuclear bomb.

The report said the United States focus on Asia is based on “economic and military motives.”

“It has been nearly a decade since the 9/11 event occurred,” the report said. “The United States has incurred substantial losses on the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iran, where real guns and powder were used. Now there is not much fighting on the two battlefields. The U.S. Defense Department has to identify a new target.”

Russian surveillance aircraft have been conducting spying missions on the joint U.S.-Japan military operations to provide humanitarian relief to the victims of northern Japan’s tsunami.

Intelligence gathering aircraft from the Russian Air Force flew near Japanese air space March 17 over the Sea of Japan, prompting Japan Air Self-Defense Force fighter planes to scramble and intercept the aircraft.

The surveillance was focused on three U.S. military ships, including the USS Essex amphibious assault ship, that were in the Sea of Japan off the coast of the Sakata Port in Yamagata Prefecture.

Saudi Arabia, which has deployed thousands of troops into neighboring Bahrain, has lost faith with Obama’s bumbling  strategy in the Gulf, a report said.

The Foreign Policy Research Institute has asserted that the Saudi kingdom was taking its boldest military operation in decades in an effort to quell the Shi’ite revolt in Bahrain. The institute, in a report by analyst Rachel Bronson, said the Saudi intervention could increase the prospect of a confrontation with Iran.

“The kingdom is clearly rattled by events in the region, and has lost faith in U.S. efforts to promote dialogue in the absence of brute force,” the report, titled “Saudi Arabia’s Intervention In Bahrain: A Necessary Evil Or A Strategic Blunder?” said.

The Pentagon responded to Rhode Island Democratic Rep. Jim Langevin’s concerns about female U. S. soldiers being “encouraged” to wear the hijab while serving in Afghanistan Thursday evening.

The letter, penned by U.S. Navy Admiral Michael Mullen, said the military is not directing or requiring female soldiers to wear the headscarf, but instead giving them option of wearing one with their uniform if they deem it appropriate. Of course anyone who has spend a minute in uniform knows what to do when a general officer encouyrages you to do something.

“The general consensus among female Service members working with the local population in Afghanistan is that they should have the flexibility to wear a head scarf if they, along with their command, determine the mission or their safety are enhanced by it, as long as it is a personal choice,” Mullen wrote, adding that in some Afghan regions female soldiers have been prohibited from wearing headscarves.

Col. Martha McSally, whose frustration about being made to wear the Muslim abaya while stationed in Saudi Arabia during the 1990s resulted in legislation banning the practice of forcing soldiers to wear Muslim garb in that country, told TheDC that, whether women are being forced or allowed, wearing the hijab sends a bad message.

“The whole point I have been trying to make is that this is a strategic and not tactical issue. And the Commanders at General Petraeus’s level or above should have never AUTHORIZED it as an option, due to the wrong message it sends,” McSally wrote in an email. “I understand that you may not get immediate access to a village if the women don’t wear hijabs, but we shouldn’t be so desperate to do ‘whatever it takes’ to win over rural Afghan men and women that we are willing to compromise who we are.”

Mullen added that some women feel the headscarf helps them to better perform their jobs.

The Geneva Convention expressly forbids soldiers from being out of uniform allowed execution of those who do as spies.

The California Highway Patrol is handing out more traffic citations than it did a few years ago, and that has generated tens of millions of dollars in new revenue for state and local government issued about 200,000 more traffic citations in 2009 than it did two years before.

Sacramento Superior Court, meanwhile, processed about 37,000 more traffic filings last year than in 2006 - a 16 percent increase. Local police departments, the county Sheriff’s Department and the CHP gave out those tickets.

Driver advocates say that such growth in traffic enforcement is happening all over the country and that the timing isn’t coincidental

They contend that state and local governments nationwide have been raising revenue by issuing more traffic citations.

A noble if failed experiment was called “selective enforcement” that proposed patrols should be assigned to places where traffic crashes occurred. But, those were places hard to patrol and studies showed and traffic tickets are disproportionately issued on easy to patrol and the physically safest stretches of road (like air patrols o bright sunny days on 4-lane mostly rural divided.highways.

Likewise the idea of a “quota” of one citation per patrol hour is also fallacious.

With the average fine costing as much as $250 and rising, the increase in CHP tickets produced as much as $50 million over two years.

Donald Trump, who says he is seriously considering a presidential run, will now appear on Fox News every Monday morning.

A Fox News representative, Dana Klinghoffer, said that Trump will be a regular guest, not a contributor, and thus will not be paid.

Trump’s segments were referred to as “Monday Mornings with Trump” in a network promo posted by Mediaite.

“Bold, brash and never bashful, the Donald now makes his voice loud and clear every Monday on Fox,” an announcer says in the promo. The promo then cuts to a clip of Trump saying, “my message is a better message than anybody else’s.”

Klinghoffer, the Fox News spokesperson, said that Trump will be permitted to continue making the regular Monday appearance even if he declares a presidential campaign, since he is not a paid contributor. It would be highly unusual for a network to give a regular weekly forum to a declared presidential candidate.

Fox News suspended Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich as contributors in March ahead of their likely presidential campaigns. The network also employs Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin, both of whom say they are considering presidential runs.

Top executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were paid more than $35 million in the past two years while the two bailed-out mortgage finance giants were receiving $153 billion in support from taxpayers.

The huge payouts came to light in a new report published on Thursday by the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Office of Inspector General.

“Although the quasi-government [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac] have lost billions of dollars and continue to depend upon federal support to remain in business,” the reported states, “their senior executives continue to receive multi-million dollar salaries.”

At Fannie Mae [Federal National Mortgage Association], its chief executive officer received $9.3 million in total compensation in 2009 and 2010, the report reveals. The CEO is Michael J. Williams, who joined the company in 1991.

At Freddie Mac [Federal Home Loan Mortgage Association], CEO Charles E. Haldeman Jr., former head of Putnam Investments, made $7.8 million in the two years since the company was taken over by the federal government.

Fannie Mae’s chief financial officer made $4.6 million, and its chief accounting officer/general counsel received $4.5 million.

At Freddie Mac, the CFO made $3.9 million, and the general counsel/secretary received $5.1 million.

In all, the top six executives made $35.4 million. Meanwhile, total losses at the two companies could reach $363 billion through 2013, according to government estimates.

The pay was approved by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which is charged with conserving the assets of Fannie and Freddie on behalf of taxpayers, the New York Times noted on Friday.

Leftist Indian-American Muslim Rajiv Shah, Obama’s USAID Administrator said Friday proposed Republican budget cuts will kill 70,000 children.  This an absurd  recurring claim by leftist spend thrifts. The only surprise if he did not make bigger claims of more deaths.

The Non-Hispanic white population dropped by more than 185,000 in the past decade in the San Francisco Bay area, They have been more than replaced by Asians and Hispanics. The biggest shift in America.

There are nearly 150,000 fewer white children in the Bay Area than there were 10 years ago. The number of black children declined by 34,000.

These demographics are having profound impacts in education and otherwise in the area. Some claim it is adversely effecting tourism into San Francisco - but, that is unlikely for now.

California had a population increase of only 10 percent in the last decade, the slowest rise in the state’s history. And for the first time since California became a state in 1850, it will not gain a Congressional seat. That it did not loose a seat is considered by many as a “win.”

The recent growth in the state has been largely fueled by Hispanics, who continued to increase in numbers, though at a slower rate than in the 1990s. The number of whites continued to decline. They now make up just 40 percent of the state, compared with 47 percent in 2000.

California officials had overestimated the state’s population by roughly 1.2 million, primarily because they expected more people to move in and fewer to move out.

The number of white children in California dropped by 21 percent in the last decade, with a similar decline in the number of black children.

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was already a comic book-like character before he left Sacramento. Now he’s literally turning into a cartoon superhero “The Governator” in a comic book and TV cartoon show. Both seem completely appropriate.

As some are advocating arming Libyan “rebels” comes news that Senior Libyan rebel “officers” sold Iran poison gas for Hizballah and Hamas. Thousands of chemical shells from the stocks of mustard and nerve gas that fell into rebel hands when they overran Muammar Qaddafi’s military facilities in and around Benghazi, debkafile’s exclusive sources report. The rebels offloaded an estimated 2,000 artillery shells carrying mustard gas and 1,200 nerve gas shells for cash payment amounting to several million dollars negotiated by Iran. The consignments may still be in Sudan en route for Lebanon and Gaza.

Reportedly  nerve gas has ACTUALLY been used on protestors in Yemen. Reports aare s recent as March 11, 2011. A news clip on Al Jazeera a couple of nights before filmed in an emergency room, showing stricken protestors being rushed in, one in the grip of convulsions then all reports vaporized. It is unclearwhat the source of nerve gas would be.

US and Israeli intelligence agencies have tracked the WMD consignments from eastern Libya as far as Sudan in convoys secured by Iranian agents and Hizballah and Hamas guards. They are not believed to have reached their destinations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, apparently waiting for an opportunity to get their deadly freights through without the US or Israel attacking and destroying them.

It is also not clear whether the shells and gases were assembled upon delivery or were travelling in separate containers. Sources report that some of the poison gas may be intended not only for artillery use but also for drones which Hizballah recently acquired from Iran.

Tehran threw its support behind the anti-Qaddafi rebels because of this unique opportunity to get hold of the Libyan ruler’s stock of poison gas after it fell into opposition hands and arm Hizballah and Hamas with unconventional weapons without Iran being implicated in the transaction. Reportedly Iran paid rebels several millions of dollars for the poison gas.

Shortly after the uprising began in the third week of February, a secret Iranian delegation arrived in Benghazi. Its members met rebel chiefs, some of them deserters from the Libyan army, and clinched the deal for purchasing the entire stock of poison gas s

Iran is moving in on the Arab revolt now in its third month. Its agents are whipping together the most radical domestic Muslim elements, Sunni and Shiite alike, as a vehicle for importing its own influence into the heart of the turbulent capitals. With funding from Tehran, Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood is moving in on city streets as the country sinks quietlly into anarchy.

The Gulf Cooperation Council has been urged to acquire nuclear weapons. Saudi Arabia is reported to have bought two nuclear warheads from Pakistan, and as far as is known they still sit at a Pakistan airbase waiting to be loaded into unmarked Sauda transport planes while their Saudi crews lounge nearby..

A leading Saudi official has called on the six Gulf Cooperation Council states to cooperate in the acquisition of nuclear energy and deterrence capabilities. Prince Turki Al Faisal, chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research, said the GCC must follow the European Union model for the development of nuclear and security strategies.

“We in the GCC states should seek to achieve our unity and the unity of our decisions at the security and political levels, as well as review the march of the [Gulf] cooperation council, its goals,” Turki told a strategic conference in the United Arab Emirates.

Al Faisal told the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research that the GCC must be ready to compete with other nuclear powers in the Middle East. He cited Iran and Israel, and said Gulf Arab states must be capable of resisting regional adversaries.

“Wealth in the region is not sufficient to achieve stability, and we ought to be effective regarding major international affairs and prevent others from dictating options on us,” Turki said.

Saudi Arabia has been one of several GCC states that were exploring the feasibility of a nuclear program. Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have already launched plans to acquire nuclear energy reactors.

This mideastern proliferation was set in mothion when Obama blocked Israel from taking out Iran Nuclear weapon program and and he tucked tail abonadoning it and hitherto U. S. allies in the region leasving them to inevitably face Iran H-Bombs.

The one retailer prepared to cut costs to the bone to save money for consumers now warns that prices will rise very soon - no matter what. Retailers have generally managed to hold prices low despite rising raw materials costs. They had little choice: High U.S. unemployment and lack of credit has kept people out of stores. That’s over, says Wal-Mart CEO Bill Simon. Prices will now rise across the board for all retailers, Wal-Mart included. He called the situation “serious.”

Just 41 percent of voters say Obama deserves re-election to a second term, 51 % say no to reelection according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.

The poll also found that Obama’s approval rating has plummeted to an all-time low - just 42 percent. That compares with 48 percent of voters who disapprove.

Contrary to the normal pattern of improved presidential approval during military actions abroad, Obama’s fortunes with voters are sagging despite the ongoing military action against Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi.

His approval has dropped 4 percentage points in just the past month, Quinnipiac reports. There are indications Obama’s weak poll numbers could reflect a deeper problem: Growing public discomfort with a leadership style that has been variously characterized as nuanced, above-the-fray, and intellectual.

According to the Gallup polling organization, 73 percent of voters viewed Obama as a strong and decisive leader two years ago. By March 2010, the leadership number had dropped but was still a respectable 60 percent.

But a new Gallup poll released Wednesday shows that only 52 percent of Americans now describe Obama as a strong and decisive leader. Nearly half, 47 percent, say that he is not strong and decisive.

Another ominous indicator: Only 36 percent of voters say Obama has a clear plan for solving the nation’s problems.

The Sacramento Kings, one ofbthe worst in the NBA, is headed for the exit, but their threatened departure has energized the effort to build a new sports arena.

That begs the question what new team wants to step over that body to jump into that tepid fan base.

Jacob Barnett of Hamilton County, Ind., may soon become the best known teenager because he is just weeks shy of his 13th birthday, and on the cusp of disproving Einstein’s theory of relativity, and If he pulls it off he win a Nobel prize,

Barnett, who has an IQ of 170, explained his expanded theory of relativity - in a YouTube video.

While most of his mathematical genius goes over our heads, some professors at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey - you know, the U.S. academic homeroom for the likes of Albert Einstein, J. Robert Oppenheimer, and Kurt Gödel - have confirmed he’s on the right track to coming up with something completely new. For now, they’re encouraging Barnett to continue doing what he likes to do, which is explaining calculus using a whiteboard marker

I’m impressed by his interest in physics and the amount that he has learned so far,” Institute for Advanced Study Professor Scott Tremaine wrote in an email to the family. “The theory that he’s working on involves several of the toughest problems in astrophysics and theoretical physics

He didn’t speak until the age of two. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, a mild form of autism, so they thought he might have problems in school.

The 12-year-old taught himself calculus, algebra and geometry in two weeks.

He left high school at the ripe old age of eight and has been attending college-level advanced astrophysics classes ever since.

Einstein was 26 when he first published his Theory of Relativity. We figure that Jake has a couple of years to kick back and relax before he finally debunks the big bang theory.

“I’m still working on that,” he said. “I have an idea, but… I’m still working out the details.”

The New York office of Bahrain-based Arab Banking Corp. borrowed $1.1 billion from the Fed’s emergency lending program for banks during October 2008. That bank is currently 59 percent owned by the Libyan Investment Authority, which invests money for the government of the Middle Eastern state now enmeshed in war.

It is incomprehensible to me that while creditworthy small businesses throughout the country could not receive affordable loans,” said Sen. Bernard Sanders (I-Vt.) in a statement Thursday, the Fed was extending credit “to a bank that is substantially owned by the Central Bank of Libya.” For one of  only a few times I agree with Socialist Sanders - that was reprehensible.

The Treasury Department excluded Arab Banking from recent sanctions against Libya, as it is headquartered in Bahrain and governed by that nation’s laws, and was complying with sanctions against the Libyan government..

On Oct. 27, 2008, when the crisis was near its peak, the New York branches of Belgian bank Dexia and Irish bank Depfa received $28.5 billion and $24.5 billion, respectively. Austria’s Erste Group and the Bank of Scotland were major borrowers in the immediate aftermath of the failure of Lehman Brothers, in mid-September 2008.

Many of the nation’s large banks, including J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of America, made extensive use of the loan program, called the discount window, starting when the financial crisis arose in summer 2007 and then as it deepened in 2008. The scale of the lending had been disclosed at the time, but not the names of borrowers.

900 files totaling 29,000 pages, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Bloomberg and Fox Business - show an institution that had become the global lender of last resort. In addition to some of the biggest Wall Street firms and hundreds of smaller U.S. banks, the Fed’s emergency lending supported the U.S. branches of foreign banks, including one partly owned by the Libyan government.

Washington Mutual, which was on the verge of collapse in September 2008, borrowed $2 billion for several consecutive days before being taken over by J.P. Morgan Chase. IndyMac, another mortgage lender, borrowed $500 million just before regulators seized it in July 2008.

All of the loans were repaid with interest, Fed officials have said,

Since it was founded in 1914, the Fed has offered banks access to emergency money when they find themselves “illiquid,” or unable to meet their short-term cash needs. It is the primary tool in the Fed’s role as lender of last resort to the banking system. The process was believed to be able to buy influence. But, generally it was a ay for brokers to makes fortunes while bilking American taxpayers - little;has changed.

The documents, in addition to laying bare massive lending to some of the world’s largest banks, shows the mundane side of the Fed’s discount window. For example, on June 17, 2008, the same day the New York Fed lent $7 billion to Bear Stearns, it also extended $120,000 to the Bank of Cattaraugus in western New York, according to the records. A recent court decision ordered the documents be made available over Federal Reserve and bank objections.

Just as “Libyan rebel” forces are trying to surrender offering a cease fire before they are pushed out of the country Obama announced he he’s pulling U. S. attack planes out of the international air campaign in Libya, saying NATO partners can take up the slack.Rumors persist that this weekend pro-Qaddafi forces will receive sophisticated SURFACE TO AIR (SAM) missiles to deny rebels close air support.

The announcement Thursday drew incredulous reactions from some in Congress who wondered aloud why the Obama administration would bow out of a key element of the strategy for protecting Libyan civilians and crippling Moammar Gadhafi’s army.

“Odd,” ”troubling” and “unnerving” were among critical comments by senators pressing for an explanation of the announcement by Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs chairman Adm. Mike Mullen that American combat missions will end Saturday.

The whole farcical libyan episode has been a bumbled, embarrassing and very costly Obamadoggle.

Bumf (bumf) noun: Unwanted or uninteresting printed matter such as governmental forms, legal documents, junk mail, promotional pamphlets, etc. Etymology short for bum fodder, slang for toilet paper. Earliest documented use: 1889.
