The homosexual lifestyle signifies the triumph of neo-pagan Epicureanism. By its very nature, homosexuality cannot fulfill the primary function of sex: procreation and the reproduction of the human race. It is inherently a socially barren act. A homosexual society is a childless one - doomed to extinction.
This is why all the great religions - Christianity, Judaism, Islam - historically teach that sodomy is unnatural and immoral. It is a violation of the natural moral order. Thomas Jefferson, for example, said homosexuality should be treated with the same severity as rape.
The push to sanction homosexual marriage legally is a leftist attempt to impose the pernicious doctrine that all forms of sexual behavior are morally equal. They are not. The homosexual rights lobby is trying to mainstream perversion and vice - to put homosexuality on an equal plane with heterosexuality. It is time conservatives, traditionalists and people of all religious faiths stand up to defend society’s most basic institution.
Contrary to the claims of liberals, marriage is not a “civil right” - something to be dispensed at the behest of anyone who wishes it. If this were true, it would unleash the floodgates. Polygamy, “transgender” unions, bestiality, pedophilia - all forms of deviant sexual behavior could claim discrimination. It is a recipe for moral anarchy and social disintegration. For centuries, public acceptance of homosexuality has been identified with decadence, decline and the fall of civilizations.
Throughout history, especially in the West, traditional marriage has had a distinct status. It is a sacred union between a man and a woman. Its primary - although not sole - role is to create and socialize children. It is the most effective means by which societies not only reproduce, but transmit the mores of one generation to the next. It is the linchpin of any stable, successful culture. To weaken - or worse, transform - it inevitably leads to societal collapse. Babylon, ancient Greece and Rome all withered away because of internal moral rot.
Post-Christian progressives, such as Mr. Obama, are not championing anything new. Instead, they are slowly reverting to a failed, pagan past. Theirs is not a brave new world; it is a corrupt old one.

Al Qaida has entered what officials termed its third generation in Iraq.
Security sources said Al Qaida in Iraq (AQI) has grown more lethal through training and more than seven years of intensive warfare against the United States. They said most of AQI was believed to consist of Iraqis, many of them former Sunni inmates.
“This is the third generation of the terrorists and they understand the terrain and have a long memory,” a security source said.
The sources said AQI was believed to have grown more dangerous despite Iraqi and U.S. operations that have eradicated much of the insurgency leadership. They said the latest generation of recruits were nearly all Iraqis, with foreigners playing a role largely in financing rather than operations.
Moreover, AQI has also focused on suicide strikes against the Shi’ite-led government rather than attempt to openly face Iraqi or U.S. troops. The sources said the operations have been facilitated by enhanced AQI intelligence as well as penetration of Iraqi security forces.
“There is what can be called a professional corps in AQI,” an Iraqi official said. “They get paid well for killing as many people as possible even if these attacks do not produce any change in either the government or society.”
AQI has also sought to demonstrate its prowess, particularly in attacks on military and police installations. The sources said the attacks were based on intelligence regarding guard detail and the vulnerability of these facilities.
“They demonstrate that Al Qaida remains determined and dangerous,” U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan, director for strategy in Iraq, said.
The U.S-led coalition first encountered AQI in 2004, at the time led by foreign Arab nationals. By 2007, Iraqis were beginning to fill command positions while Saudi nationals focused on financing.
The third generation of AQI was believed to have begun with the release of thousands of Sunni insurgents in 2010. The sources said the Sunni detainees have been working on attacks on both political and economic targets, including the Central Bank in Baghdad.
“AQI no longer has a major foreign sponsor and so has worked out operations that will ensure funding from local sources,” the official said.

The appointment Friday of Jeremy Bernard as the third social secretary at the Obama White House breaks two glass ceilings - he is the first man and the first openly hoomosexual person to serve in the post.
First lady Michelle Obama, whose East Wing handles social and special events at the White House, from bill signings to state dinners, oversaw the selection process.
A California-based hydrogen-powered fuel cell company, Bing Energy, is the latest company to get out of California deciding to locate its manufacturing, along with a headquarters and a technology lab, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Bing officials indicated clearly that it was 15 percent cheaper to operate in Florida and that the Sunshine state unequivocally wanted them there.”
So, a billion dollar company can save $150million to the bottom line, save the employees State income tax (Florida has no income tax)
California lost 37 percent of it’s manufacturing base since 1990 while the country lost 34 percent.
A Michigan town Allen Park, took its first steps towards firing its entire fire department.
A clause in the fire fighters’ contracts requires 30-day notice of termination, so the city issued notices to everyone in the department. The department’s 25 employees, from Chief down the ranks, all face termination.
The potential cuts come even after workers made concessions last year, imposing limits on promotions, overtime, and eliminating raises
Americans continue to believe strongly that being a teacher is an essential job, but a plurality thinks it’s a bad thing that most teachers are unionized.
China blocked internet access last week to tampdown unrest. Libya tamped unrest down there with bullers. Bombs and rockets.
68% of American Adults view being a teacher as one of the most important jobs in our country today, down five points from May of last year but up slightly from when we first asked the question in May 2008. Twenty-one percent (21%) say it’s not one of the most important jobs, and 12% aren’t sure.
Thirty-seven percent (37%) say, in terms of its impact on the nation, it’s a good thing that most teachers belong to public employee unions. Forty-six percent (46%) disagree and say it’s a bad thing that most teachers are unionized. Seventeen percent (17%) are not sure.
In late April 2010 when we offered “neither” as another option, 38% of adults said it’s good that most teachers belong to a public employee union, but 34% said it’s a bad thing. Thirteen percent (13%) viewed it as neither, and 14% were undecided.
Among adults who currently have children in grades K through 12, however, a majority (54%) now views unionized teachers as bad for the country.
A plurality (45%) also believes public school teachers are paid too little, but that’s trending down from 51% last August and 57% in May 2008. Eighteen percent (18%) now say teachers are paid too much, while 32% think their level of pay is about right.
In the current political dispute in Wisconsin, 47% of voters nationwide agree with the Republican governor who wants to limit the union rights of some public employees, while 42% support the unions for teachers and other state employees. However, 61% say members of public employee unions should contribute the same percentage to their health care and pension plans as those in the private sector pay which many unionized teachers currently do not do.
Chinese rockets, apparently supplied by Iran, hit Israel in first such attack since Hamas war
For the first time in more than two years, Israel has come under long-range rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.
Israeli military sources said Palestinian gunners aligned with Iran fired at least two Chinese-modified BM-21 Grad rockets into Israel on Feb. 23. They said the rockets, believed supplied by Iran, slammed into the southern city of Beersheba, about 45 kilometers from the Gaza Strip.
“The Israeli military was not surprised by the fire,” Col. Eitan Yitzhak, commander of Home Front Command in the south, said.
Most Americans want to end aid to all Arab nations in the Middle East. Just over half favor continuing foreign aid to the number one recipient, Israel.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that only 20% of American Adults think the United States should continue providing foreign aid to Arab countries in the Middle East. Fifty-eight percent (58%) say that aid should come to an end. Twenty-one percent (21%) are not sure..
Fifty-one percent (51%) of Americans, on the other hand, favor continued foreign aid to Israel. One-in-three adults (32%) oppose further aid for Israel, while another 17% are undecided about it.
Americans now pay more in taxes than for food, clothing and housing combined.
A 20-year-old Saudi student legally living in Texas has been arrested by federal agents and charged with planning to build bombs to carry out terrorist attacks inside the United States, the Justice Department announced on Thursday.
According to an affidavit filed by the FBI, the man, Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, after he used the internet to research explosives and that he was considering attacking the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush, former soldiers stationed at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, hydroelectric dams, nuclear power plants, and night clubs.
The man had already obtained large supplies of the other two chemicals needed for the explosive — Tri-Nitro-Phenol or T.N.P - in December, court documents said.
“Aldawsari purchased ingredients to constructing a explosive device and was actively researching potential targets in the United States,” said the assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s national security division. “Thanks to the efforts of many agents, analysts and prosecutors, this plot was thwarted before it could advance further.”

Obama’s job approval ratings have taken a dive last week in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, and the number of voters who give him favorable ratings for leadership has fallen to its lowest level since he took office in January 2009.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 37% of Likely U.S. Voters now say the president is doing a good or excellent job as a leader. Forty percent (40%) rate his performance as poor. (To see survey question wording.

The Pentagon on Thursday awarded Boeing Co. a contract that will eventually be worth more than $30 billion for aerial refueling tankers, closing a high-stakes bidding contest between the U.S. aerospace giant and EADS North America, a unit of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co., but potentially launching a fresh wave of political controversy. Perhaps 60,000 American jobs will be saved.
Former Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Rick Santorum, a possible 2012 candidate for the presidency, doesn’t appreciate liberals’ attitude toward Christians’ historical conflict with Muslims. At a speech in Spartanburg, N.C. Tuesday, he said liberals have distorted history, Politico reports.
”The idea that the Crusades and the fight of Christendom against Islam is somehow an aggression on Christianities part is absolutely anti-historical,” Santorum said. “And that is what the perception is by the American left who hates Christendom.”
Liberals “hate Western civilization at the core,” Santorum added. That’s the problem.”
American military activity in the Middle East promotes “core American values,” Santorum said.
“What I’m talking about is onward American soldiers. What we’re talking about are core American values. ‘All men are created equal’ - that’s a Christian value, but it’s an American value.”

For the first time since 1979, the Iranian Navy has begun operations in the Mediterranean Sea having gained permission from Egypt to transit the Suez Canal..
Officials said two Iranian warships crossed the Suez Canal and reached Syria. They said the Navy vessels - a frigate and support ship - would participate in an exercise with Syria.
“This is a very important achievement,” an official said.
The two Iranian Navy vessels, identified as Alvand and Khark - arrived in the Syrian port of Latakia on Feb. 24. Latakia also contains the Russian Navy, which has sought to expand the port for larger vessels.
Iranian Navy commander Adm. Habibollah Sayari arrived in Syria for the greeting ceremony. Sayari said the Iranian warships were not meant to threaten anybody in the region. (But, they are clearly threatening and negative.)
“They are a peaceful message to all nations,” Sayari said.
Officials said the two Iranian warships contained weapons. They said Khark, with a crew of 250, was designed to accommodate three helicopters. Alvand, the frigate, was said to contain both anti-ship and air defense missiles.
The Iranian Navy mission was facilitated by Egypt. Officials said Egypt, despite Israeli objection, allowed the two Iranian ships to cross the Suez Canal on Feb. 22.
ABC News’ numbskull Diane Sawyer has a TV segment asking if a house can be furnished only with Made in USA products. She like others routinely fail to appreciate that 20% of everything made worldwide is made in USA. Made in USA products peaked at 21% in 1990.
