Obama Wakes Up

 

 

Well, now that the mid-terms are over, what do we have? The democrats licking their wounds, Fox News gloating about their ever so accurate predictions, and President Obama back-pedaling and kowtowing to the American people. What do I mean by that? Simply this.

Everyone has read the headlines and listened to Obama’s speech after the humiliating loss in the House. It was the closest thing that he has ever come to in making an apology. I’m proud of him for that. Knowing how much of a narcissist he is I can imagine how devastating it was for him. But what about Nancy Pelosi? What’s she going to do now that she isn’t the House Speaker anymore? One can only hope her low self-esteem doesn’t drive her to suicide. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

But let’s talk about Obama’s u-turn. I certainly hope those who have made their voices heard in the mid-terms won’t forget how he forced his agenda down our throats, even when we didn’t like the taste of it. Obama-care, bank and auto bailouts, money for teachers unions and additional unemployment insurance, stimulus packages, contrary efforts to force Arizona in line with his immigration agenda, and a whole host of other issues the American people stood against. Don’t forget America, even if he changes his rhetoric, pander, and demagoguery, in his heart he still wants to control you.

After lambasting corporate America Obama now wants to make nice, apologize, and move on to a platform of cozying up to business. He says it’s to work on the jobless issue, but is it too late? I’ve heard an awful lot out of him in the last two years; denigrating large and small caps alike, punishing small business with mandated healthcare, letting capital gains lapse or even raising the rate. There is a myriad of things he has done to ebb the growth of American exceptionalism, and a plethora of things he has done to drive us towards socialism. So why is it now suddenly different? Is he saying he finally gets it? Has the arrogance that he has known most of his adult life finally abated to where he truly sees the strife the American people are going through? I doubt it. More likely than not he is looking forward to his 2012 election. He has lost the House and full control to do whatever he wishes, regardless of what Americans want.

Please America, let’s not forget.
