Obama is against off shore drilling for our country, bannng it in fact. But, the U. S. Export - Import Bank is lending $2 billion to Mexico to drill in the Gulf.
Now we learn from the Wall Street Journal that Obama signed an executive order to loan $2 Billion taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil
Every drop of oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China. Turns out the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian Oil Company is American BILLIONAIRE, George Soros, who was one of President Obama’s biggest financial supporter during his campaign.
Moses might not have parted the Red Sea, but a strong east wind that blew through the night could have pushed the waters back in the way described in biblical writings and the Koran, U.S. researchers reported on Tuesday. The issue will always be was it divinely inspired.
With Israel and Palestinian negotiators deadlocked over settlement expansion just hours before the expiration of a 10-month Israeli settlement freeze, Jewish settlers vowed to renew building during symbolic celebrations in the West Bank.last weekend.
“Today [the settlement freeze] is over and we will do everything to ensure it will never happen again,” said Danny Dayan, the chairman of the settler umbrella leadership, the Yesha Council, at a foundation laying ceremony in the settlement of Revava. “We are here to return to Zionist activity…. the mission of settling the entire Land of Israel. This mission cannot be stopped - not just for 10 months, not for 10 days, not 10 seconds. We are resuming this mission. We are resuming settling the land.”
US-mediated talks aimed at averting a collapse of the negotiations intensified over the weekend, though there have been no signs of progress.
If the sides don’t reach a compromise, Monday could be the first real test of the resolve of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation that the chances of a compromise are “50-50.” Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said in a speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Saturday that Israel must choose between “peace and settlements.”
Despite the standoff, both sides have said that they’re trying to reach for a last-second compromise that will allow the talks to go forward. Palestinian, Israeli, and US negotiators are expected to keep discussing a deal on Sunday in the US.
On Friday Israel repeated its appeal to Obama for advanced air-to-ground penetration bombs. Obama embargoed the so-called bunker busters that could destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons plants halting their shipment and impounding them on Diego Garcia.
Israel’s intelligence community is warning of a clash between Israel and the Obama White House after the November 2010 elections no matter what happens.. Obama will intensify pressure on Israel to withdraw from the West Bank and allow for the establishment of a Palestinian state in a continuing pro-Arab, pro-Muslim shift away from the Jewish state’s interest and tradition U. S. and allied interests…
Right now Obama is worried less about the American Jewish vote which is small than avoiding drying up their moneywhich is big for beleaguered Democrats so he won’t overtly act against Israel until after the November elections.
Obama is expected to make the establishment of a Palestinian state the priority of U.S. foreign policy. They said Obama would vigorously, albeit quietly, press for an Israeli full withdrawal from the West Bank by his 2012 election regardless of other regional considerations, including the Iranian nuclear threat which he appears to have ready accepted.
“Obama sees Israel as a greater threat to his foreign policy than Iran,” the source said. “He believes you can negotiate with Iran, but Israel must be pushed.”
Obama, the Israeli assessment says, was born and raised a Muslim, and is believed to be driven mostly by ideology. They said Obama, a former organizer in the Nation of Islam, wants to go down in history as the U.S. president who pressured Israel into withdrawing from the West Bank. Albiete that would make it vulnerable.
“Obama either no longer cares about being a one-term president, or believes that he can turn things around much later in his term,” another source said. “So, he is prepared to do anything after the elections to achieve his personal agenda.”
Max Singer, a leading Israeli strategist close to the prime minister, said Obama was personally formulating the decisions regarding U.S. policy toward Israel. Singer cited a report by Israeli ambassador to Washington, Michael Oren, that Obama represented a “tectonic shift” between the United States and Israel.
“There is every reason to believe that Oren is correctly reporting President Obama’s radically different understanding of world affairs, and that Obama is personally making a large share of the decisions, including all key decisions about the administration’s policy concerning Israel,” Singer said. “Thus, as long as he is president, Obama’s new view will determine much of American policy toward Israel.”
The sources said the intelligence community has determined that Obama was employing outside advisers on how to deal with Israel. They said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not wield any influence on policy.
“Hillary is used by Obama to transmit the tough messages sent by the White House,” the second source said. “For electoral reasons, Obama would prefer that others do the dirty work.”
The scenario raised by the Israeli intelligence community was that Obama would quietly pressure Netanyahu over the next few weeks while expressing his strong support for Israel. The assessment, however, warned that after congressional elections the president would blame Israel, particularly Netanyahu, for any failure in talks with the PA as well as increased regional tension should the prime minister fail to meet Obama’s demands for a rapid withdrawal from the West Bank.
“There are many tools that Obama has, including a military embargo, sanctions, voting for anti-Israeli resolutions in the Security Council,” the second source said. “The pressure would be swift and brutal.”
The assessment dismissed the prospect that Congress would shield Israel from a U.S. crisis. The intelligence community was said to have concluded that Obama would seek to intimidate the pro-Israel lobby in Washington.
Former Israeli ambassador to the United States Zalman Shoval said Obama has changed tactics from those used earlier this year. Shoval said the White House has softened its tone because of political pressure ahead of congressional elections in November, but remains far apart from Israel’s positions.
“This approach by the administration is not a question of tactics, but rather a matter of world view,” Shoval said. “And it is likely to accompany the U.S.-Israel relationship in the months and perhaps years ahead.”
President Obama, whose national poll numbers have declined in the last year, remains popular in California, according to a new Times-USC poll.
When respondents were asked “Do you approve or disapprove of the job being done by Barack Obama as president of the United States?” 54% of likely voters said they approved, and 40% said they disapproved. Among whites, the breakdown was 52%-41%; among Latinos, it was 64%-28%. Blacks overwhelmingly approve.
Iran is claiming an electronic war has been launched against it saying 30,000 computers have been damaged by Stuxnet, a sophisticated and malicious “worm.” Officials said Stuxnet might have been introduced by a foreign intelligence agency as early as 2009 and has attacked its nuclear sector.
It has been reported that the launch of the Bushehr nuclear reactor, scheduled for Sept. 2 had been delayed. Atomic Energy Organization director Ali Salehi, in a briefing on Sept. 15, did not explain the reason and raised the prospect of additional delays. He said the reactor would not reach full capacity before March 2011, but stressed that this was just an estimate
Iran said Stuxnet was discovered in July 2010, and has already harmed Iranian industrial facilities. On Sept. 13, Microsoft warned of Stuxnet, said to employ two stolen security certificates to penetrate Windows-operated computer networks. It is believed the cyber attack is a reason why the Bush
So far no one is being blamed nor has anyone taken credit.

NBC NEWS has launched a week’s expose about the failure of America’s government run schools. Since the 1970s America’s government school have declined to now rank 25th in math and 20th in science and our best students rank 24th wotld wide. In terms of college graduates America has gone from first to ninth.
President Bush launched “No Child Left Behind” initiative and was blasted because it focused on testing students and teacher accountability. “Waiting for Superman” is said to be the most important American documentary to come along in years. It fairly and accurately describes how America’s public education system represents the country’s biggest competitive disadvantage going forward.
America’s spends $650 billion on 133,000 K through 12 government run schools. It is one of the world’s most expensive education system on a per capita basis in the world yet performs as one of its worst. Critics say the U. S. ranks 37th in education spending as a percentage of GDP but that is fiduciary fornication when whole dollars are calculated in as much as the U. S. has the largest gross domestic product.
“Waiting for Superman” opened nationally last weekend. Obama will make education a focus of his campaign between now and the November election.
While platitudes will abound change has been and will be slow as an absurd tenure system and variations continues to protect the worst teachers, and union rules forbid or cripple performance evaluation and termination even of teachers accused of sexual abuse.
Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D) Nevada lead his Republican rival Sharon Angle 44.5% to 44%. Republicans lead in North Dakota, Indiana, Arkansas, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Illinois. Republicans need to take ten to gain control of the Senate and with Nevada that’s nine. The GOP has shots at it: New York, California, Delaware, Connecticut, and Washington State. Of those, the most likely is New York. But, Carly Fiorina is 5% of Boxer in California too.
A senior Pentagon official told Congress last week that Iran has shared military technology with North Korea, including submarine weaponry.
The issue is serious because “North Korea has demonstrated frequently their intent to violate a number of international norms, sanctions and resolutions to transfer forbidden military technology to more than one other party.”
No details were available but the technology may include the high-tech explosive device used in the North Korean torpedo that uses an explosive bubble to increase the lethality of the underwater blast, the type which split and sunk the Cheonan, the coastal patrol ship attacked in March sinking it and killed four dozen sailors..
He replied: “Certainly the ability to attack from ambush, to conduct a surprise attack is a threat. Yes, it could have been attempted.”
Sen. John McCain (R) Az. then noted that “there is a possibility that … the North Korean submarine had the capability to launch an attack on a United States ship, just as they did a South Korean corvette.”
Harvard egghead Larry Summers, President Obama’s top economic adviser, is stepping down to go back to ivy-covered walls. Finally, some good economic news. - to paraphrase Leno
With almost 2 million federal workers being paid an average of twice as much as those in the private sector and with virtually no chance of losing their jobs no matter what they do.they are in the cross hairs during this midterm election season.
With 14.9 million Americans unemployed, another 5 million underemployed and private-sector wages stagnant, Republicans hoping to win back Congress in November have seized on the salaries and size of the federal workforce as symbols of overspending by the Obama administration. Non-military workers have increased an average of 10,000 per month since Obama took office in January, 2009.
Republicans have little to lose since federal workers are a virtual impenetrable Democrat voting block..
Americans are mad as hell when they learn that unskilled Post Office letter carriers are set to be paid over $100,000 under the current contract.
GOP lawmakers have:proposed:
- a hiring freeze on non-security federal workers to help slash $100 billion in government spending.
- block President Obama’s proposed 1.4 percent pay increase, and point out he blocked any increase to Social Security.
- want to furlough federal workers for two weeks to save $5.5 billion,
- to fire workers who owe federal taxes,
- shrink the pool of political appointees, t
- freeze bonuses and even to shut down the government.
None of these ideas has gotten much traction in the Democratic-controlled Congress, but the resurgence of a GOP majority after the November elections could change that.
In the latest example of Bell’s corruption on steroids former Bell Police Chief Randy Adams had himself declared disabled even as he was hired for the post, a move that could make him millions of dollars in tax-free pension income when he retires, according to records and interviews.
An agreement that Adams struck with former Bell City Administrator Robert Rizzo, who was arrested on corruption charges Tuesday, says that the incoming chief suffered the lingering effects of back, knee and neck injuries sustained years earlier and that the municipality would support his planned application for a disability pension. His fomer employer says that’s bunk.
With it looking less that the blue water in the White house toilet will be politically significant the headsman’s axe is already falling in the West Wing and you can hear a great flushing sound all the way to Cap[itol Hill. The West Wing, long a bastion of no-drama stability and self-confidence, is abuzz with rumors of a staff shake-up and shaken by the implications of a potentially shattering midterm election.
A day after stories swirled about a mid-October Rahm Emanuel exit, Obama's team on Thursday awoke to reports that senior adviser David Axelrod is departing soon after the November elections. And they're pushing back hard.
"It's all a bunch of bulls--," said a person close to Axelrod, adding that Obama's most trusted political adviser will "be around for awhile," and certainly into the spring. His leaving in early 2011 has been confirmed so he can organize Obama's 2012 reelecton campaign
On the economic team, a mass exodus has already begun - Peter Orszag, Christina Romer and now National Economic Council chief Larry Summers are already casualties.
Staff shakeups are not uncommon after the first two years of a presidency and especially so when things are not going well, and they certainly are not for Obama.
Even spinmeister Axelrod is rumored to be gone soon. But, of course he's denying that.

A new claim made by the granddaughter of Titanic Second Officer Charles Lightoller that the liner sank due to a steering mistake has picked the scab off of a wound now nearly a century old.
Louise Patten, a novelist, says that the quartermaster confused Rudder Orders with Tiller Orders and steered Titanic the wrong way and toward the iceberg. Oh, and White Star Chairman J. Bruce Ismay supposedly forced Capt. Edward Smith to keep the liner in motion after the collision, thereby hastening the ship's demise.
For decades some have speculated such a mistake could have contributed to the disaster. Is it coincidental they argue that until the current international standards were applied in the 1930s, it was common for steering orders on ships to be given as "Tiller Orders", i.e. the order given dictated to which side of the vessel the tiller was to be moved. Since the tiller's movement is reversed at the rudder, orders were seemingly given "the wrong way round". For example, to turn a ship to port (its left side), the helmsman would be given the order "starboard helm" or "x degrees starboard". The ship's tiller was then put over to starboard, turning the rudder to the vessel's port side, producing a turn to port. Starboard is right; port is left. Ancient mariners steering from the right side of a boat with a steerboard that becamse starboard, and because the steerport was on the right boats were berthed on the left or portside.
It seems unlikely to some that this supposed blunder could have remained a secret for so long, even when one considers that Lightoller was the sole surviving officer. "By his code of honor, he felt it was his duty to protect his employer-White Star Line-and its employees," Patten says, talking about her grandfather. "It was made clear to him by those at the top that, if the company were found to be negligent, it would be bankrupted and every job would be lost."
According to Second Officer Lightoller's granddaughter, the steersman turned the wheel the wrong direction when the iceberg was spotted, causing the ship to strike it. After being struck, the representative of White Star Lines convinced the captain to continue steaming ahead instead of halting, which increased the flow of water into the gaping hole in the side of the ship. Lightoller claimed that had the ship halted, it would have stayed afloat until the RMS Carpathia arrived on scene to rescue survivors, potentially without loss of life.
The supposedly unsinkable HMS Titanic tore its hull open when it struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic at 11:40 PM on 14 April 1912, she struck an iceberg and sank at 2:20 the following morning, resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. Titanic was on its maiden voyage.
Sixty-two percent (62%) say it would be better if most congressional incumbents were defeated this November.
Fifty-five percent (55%) of voters say most members of Congress get reelected not because they go do a good job representing the folks at home but because election rules are rigged to their benefit.
Russian media announced this week that Iran would not be provided its sophisticated S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. Russian media did not explain the rationale or reason for what seems to be a major shift away from Iran.
Until the fall of the Shaq Iran was considered to be the cork that bottled up then Soviet expansion into the Middle East. But, with Russia's new strategic alliance and naval base in Syria it is of less importance. Plus, Iran appear to be more interested in alliances with China than Russia.
The absence of the mobile S-300 long range surface to air missile system is reportedly able to detect and trck up to 100 tsagrets and engage 12 at ranges of 100 miles or so.
The system's absence in Iran makes it more vulnerable to air attack.
Meg Whitman has tied her among women with Jerry Brown. Women voters have been a traditional Democrat bastion so, being tied to significant. Overall they are now tied. Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer has a six-point lead over Republican challenger Carly Fiorina entering the final six weeks of the campaign, according to the results of a Field Poll released Friday.
Mayor Gavin Newsom will get some help from one of the Democratic Party's most powerful players next month when former President Bill Clinton arrives in California to lend his support in the still-too-close-to-call lieutenant governor's race.
For Newsom, it's not a moment too soon. His opponent, the lesser-known Abel Maldonado, has spent recent weeks in a rare national spotlight - the result of a gas line explosion that incinerated a San Bruno neighborhood while the appointed lieutenant governor was filling in for an absent Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
"I think it gave him (Maldonado) some visibility that he desperately needed," said Ann Crigler, chairwoman of the political sciences department at the University of Southern California. "No one has any idea who he is."
Even before Maldonado took center stage, heading up press conferences on CNN and tweeting pictures of burned-out playgrounds as he toured the devastation, the race was close. According to a SurveyUSA poll conducted on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, Newsom led slightly with 44 percent compared to Maldonado's 39 percent.
In fundraising, the well-connected San Francisco mayor (who began soliciting donations earlier in the year during a short-lived gubernatorial run) is far outpacing the former senator from Santa Maria.
Between Jan. 1, 2010 and June 30, 2010, Newsom raked in $1.4 million compared with Maldonado's $620,000.
A large chunk of Newsom's money came from organized labor, with dozens of unions donating $12,900 each, the maximum allowed during the general election.* The mayor has also benefited from relationships with powerful and rich families, records show. The Fishers of Gap, Inc. wealth have given $40,000. The Getty family, longtime friends of the Newsoms, chipped in $45,500. In West Hollywood, actor David Arquette gave $3,000. Director Steven Spielberg wrote a check for $6,500.
Maldonado's largest donation (and the only one over $10,000) came in the form of $11,900 from the California Professional Firefighters back in February. The group has since endorsed Newsom. Campaign records show much of Maldonado's funding is coming from growers and developers. William Hume, founder of Basic American Foods, gave $6,500. Salinas-based R.C. Farms contributed the maximum $13,000 as did the 3,000-acre El Sur Ranch. Ocean Mist Farms executives donated $12,500.
Some companies helped both candidates. Blue Shield of California gave $6,500 to Newsom and $1,000 to Maldonado. The San Francisco recycling company Recology donated $2,500 to both.
Newsom has spent more than Maldonado and looks like he can continue to do so.. So, it comes down to enthusiasm. Maldonado is not a darling of Tea Partiers.
A little more than a month from now we will begin seeing Obama's direction. Obama will pick a new Chief of Staff to replace the acerbic, profane Rahm Emanuel. If that pick is less radically left then Obama may adopt a Clintonesque middle of the road stance. I not then it will be more of what we've had..
Former President Jimmy Carter's new book, "White House Diary," criticizes several presidents, including fellow Democrats Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, for not bringing sufficient pressure on Israel to stop building settlements on the West Bank.
It talks about his difficulties in working with then-House Speaker Thomas P. "Tip" O'Neill, chronicles his failure to get much of his agenda through Congress and expresses the bitterness he felt toward political rival Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. But, admits he lost his reelection bid after failing to win release of the hostages held in Iran.
It does not discuss his apathy toward Iran when he was warned or dire consequences if he did not support the pro-west successor organization. The Iranian collapse was almost entirely on his watch from 1976-1980. Iran had bottled up the SDoviet since World War II. But, Carter shrugged it off and his most enduring legacy is today's Iran.
The 85-year-old Carter reveals his desperation to leave a legacy saying how he dictated the days events every day and turned those apes over to his Secretary Susan Clough to type and put into a binder.
Unless you find this book on a rubbish heap I wouldn't spent a thin dime on its self-serving nonsense.
Saturday Jerry Brown cleverly beat Meg Whitman over the head with Schwarzenegger claiming his inexperience hurt California and Whitman's would, too. 70% of Republicans disapprove and 64% of Democrat Overall only 31% of Californians approve of the job Schwarzenegger is doing a 50-year record low for anyone in that job.
Sources close to the movie "Inferno" -- the Linda Lovelace biopic Lindsey Lohan is scheduled to star in -- tell TMZ they don't want to lose Lindsay for the part ... so they are going to start scouting locations in Los Angeles and begin shooting in January.
As we first reported, it's going to cost the flick a chunk of change to move from their original location in Louisiana -- but we're told they are willing to spend the dough to keep Lindsay as the lead.
One source tells us, "We're staying [in Los Angeles] — good for the movie, but also the best way to deal with travel restrictions or other hijinks.”
As long as Lindsay is around, hijinks seem unavoidable. The 24-year-old Lohan was briefly jailed Friday after failing two court ordered drug test ordered on condition of her probabtion resulting from two DWI (driving while impaired) arrest in 2007. She was freed on a writ of habeas corpus after posting a $300,000 bail bond was released last Friday.
Linda Lovelace, born Linda Susan Boreman (January 10, 1949 - April 22, 2002) gained her own infamy by her performance of deep throat fellatio in the enormously successful 1972 hardcore porn film Deep Throat. She later denounced her pornography career, claimed that she had been forced into it by her sadistic first husband, and for a while became a spokeswoman for the anti-pornography movement.
In 2012 and 2014 Democrats must defend 43 Senate seats and Repubicans 22 which bodes well for the GOP.
The LA City Council voted unanimously to bring the U. S. S. Iowa to the Port of Los Angeles as a tourist attraction. A volunteer group supporting the idea has aready raised $8.5 million (more than needed to secure a transfer of the ship from the U. S. Navy.
USS Iowa (BB-61) (”The Big Stick”) was the lead ship of her class of battleship and the fourth in the United States Navy to be named in honor of the 29th state. Owing to the cancellation of the Montana-class battleships, Iowa is the last lead ship of any class of United States battleships.
The 45,000 ton, with 12 inch armor plating is 887 foot long, 108 feet wide was commissioned in 1943 and finally decommissioned in 1990. Iowa was deactivated in 1958 and reactivated in 1982 having been rearmed with 32 × BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missiles and 16 × RGM-84 Harpoon Anti-Ship missiles. After the fall of the Soviet Union Iowa was decommissioned. On 24 May 2010 the Federal Register officially reopens the bidding process for the USS Iowa to a California based city or non-profit organization. Iowa is currently berthed near San Francisco.
