Afraid to report information to the White House they will not like?
The best defense is open massive dissent, something the left has left behind in favor of “we won”, maybe dissent is no longer patriotic, worse, all mobbed up, and for fashionistas, last years mantra.
From the white, affluent liberal enclave of rich hippies in Boulder, Colorado, this is a sample you might consider sending to the White House, your new, new patriotic duty. The original version is here.
Dear White House Staff,
I’m reading a lot about the health care reform debate and I have
found several web sites that are putting out some outrageous
misinformation which could easily scare voters into thinking the wrong
thing.
A few of the worst offenders:
http://www.seiu.org/2009/08/pushing-back-on-right-wing-lies-on-reform.php
(Makes the dangerous and ridiculous claim that President Obama does not want to eliminate private insurance.)
http://uaw.org/news/newsarticle.cfm?ArtId=552
(Makes the obviously false claim that the current reform proposal “will reduce the punishing cost of health care…”)
http://acorn.org/index.php?id=16950&L=0%2Findex.php%3Fid%3D10964
(Repeats the propaganda that “some 45 million people” are uninsured
without pointing out that the majority of them are either illegal
aliens, Americans already eligible for government health care but who
haven’t signed up, young and healthy or fairly young and fairly
well-off and simply choosing not to buy health insurance, or between
jobs, so that only a fraction of the “uninsured” are actually
chronically and involuntarily uninsured.)
http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/news/news/committee-passes-reform-bill.shtml
(Offers the obvious lie that “The house bill expands coverage through a
choice in plans” whereas the bill actually will force people out of the
coverage they like as soon as they need to change a job or modify their
existing plans.)
And one of the worst: http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/obamaforamerica/gGMPYf
(Which says that we need to act very fast because health insurance
premiums are rising, ignoring the fact that this proposal is too
important to be acted upon quickly and that the House bill will
increase, not decrease, national spending on health care by further
separating the cost of care from the consumers of care.)
I sincerely hope you will contact these outrageous dishonest
propagandists and let them know that they should be telling the truth,
not their partisan lies designed to destroy our health care system in
order to get nearly 1/6th of our economy under direct government
control.
These sites are truly dangerous and must be censored. After all,
that’s what the left’s heroes of old and of today would do, “in the
interest of the state.”

Ross Kaminsky
