You don't know me, don't pretend to. You don't know if I'm gay, straight, or the most outlandish pervert on the planet. You can't tell my religious beliefs by what I say and that's the way I intend it. Don't be hypocritical, hubristic, or presumptuous. Listen to what I say only for the merit of my opinion, for what I say is based on intellect, education and empirical evaluation. It's an opinion, something that's entitled to all.

Obama, Unpresidential to Say the Least

I can’t believe it. Can someone explain to me how the most prominent leader of the civilized world can reduce himself to such ghetto levels of racial divide? How can the most celebrated leader of the free world partake in banter of such racial, banal and prosaic order? I’m talking about Obama’s response and interjection of opinion about the dispute between Henry Louis Gates Jr. and the Cambridge, Massachusetts police. It is so beyond my comprehension I can’t imagine how the distinguished leaders and nobility of other countries view our embarrassment. Can you imagine Margaret Thatcher addressing the people of Great Britain in such a manner? Where is the gravitas? No wonder the world has such a dim view of America, our President is nothing more than a gang-banger.

None of us know what prompted the actions of the police, or what the discourse and/or diatribe of Mr. Gates was. What we do know is that it is beneath the President of the United States to get involved in such a niggling and petty ordeal.

I can understand Obama’s stance in siding with unqualified firefighters in Connecticut, after all, he was about to nominate Sotomayor. For him it was a game of quid pro quo. He nominates her for Supreme Court Justice and in return she rules in favor of minorities that are unqualified for New Haven’s fire department promotions. Sounds like   a no-brainer to me. Besides, how else can one get a big-time judge beholden to you?

Truly, it’s not that Obama supports a racial agenda that bothers me, or that he espouses we should all be treated alike. What troubles me is that he promotes a society that says we should mete gratuities as though we’re all equal. I’m telling you, we’re not. Further more, it bothers me that he has brought additional disgrace to the Office of the President. Didn’t Clinton do enough to tarnish that glow? I’ll repeat what I said previously– it’s  beneath the President of the United States to indulge in such rhetoric. No other leader of the industrialized or civilized world has or would license such discourse as Obama aired on national television recently. No other dignified or illustrious aristocrat would ever utter such words.

Mr. President, you need to start acting presidential.

  1. Obama’s interference in the incident with the cambridge police is very telling. It harkens to Michelle “proud” comment and underscrores Obama’s prejudices and bias.

  2. Well spoken my friend. The levels to which he stoops frighten me. I have no confidence in a “leader” who will engage in such petty antics. It is revealing regarding the place of his thoughts.
