Where Does Obama Go Next?

Let me see if I have this right. After taking office President Obama goes to three continents to confess the sins of America. He told the French that America “has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” towards Europe. In Prague he said, “America has a moral responsibility to act on arms control because only the U.S. has used a nuclear weapon.” In London he expressed culpability for the world financial crisis and kowtowed in Latin America for not “sustaining engagement with our neighbors.” He said, ” we failed to see that our own progress is tied directly to progress throughout the Americas.”
Well tell me, what have these countries done for us? When one of them contributes to world hunger, medical aid, climatic crises, research, famine, or any other humanitarian aid as much as Americans have, then you can come talk to me about the need to be obsequious. To express to the world that we are more guilty for the world’s ills and that our inability to “sustain engagement” is the downfall of nations is beyond my comprehension.
Next we move on to his speech in Cairo. It appears he went there as a sycophant, not the leader of the free world. He said, “given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will inevitably fail. So whatever we think of the past, we must not be prisoners of it. Our problems must be dealt with through partnership; progress must be shared.”
So, I’ll return to the previous paragraph for rebuttal. If a world order, such as America, and I’m assuming that’s what Mr. O was intimating, isn’t to elevate one nation or group above another, then why does the US make up twenty-five percent of the United Nation’s budget? Where are all these other countries of equality? Where are their contributions? Does that mean we’re only to be elevated by the need to pay the way for the rest of the world? If so, why do we need to apologize for it?
He was also quick to fawn when he made this statement.
“Much has been made of the fact that an African-American with the name Barack Hussein Obama could be elected President.”
I didn’t hear much about the use of his middle name during the campaign. As a matter of fact, when others mentioned his name it evoked rancor and cries of racism. Hmm, I wonder what changed? Could it be he was amongst his brethren? Or is it just more soft talk. “Please like me, after all, I have a name like you.”
For me, the preponderant aspect of his meaculpa attitude was two statements.
“Let me also address the issue of Iraq. Unlike Afghanistan, Iraq was a war of choice that provoked strong differences in my country and around the world. Although I believe that the Iraqi people are ultimately better off without the tyranny of Saddam Hussein, I also believe that events in Iraq have reminded America of the need to use diplomacy and build international consensus to resolve our problems whenever possible.” Also he said, “I know there has been controversy about the promotion of democracy in recent years, and much of this controversy is connected to the war in Iraq. So let me be clear: no system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other.”
How did Iraq get to be a war of choice and not Afghanistan? I’m pretty sure a choice was made in both cases. And is it just me, or was Obama apologizing for our attack on Iraq and for spreading democracy around the world? Isn’t democracy what we’re all about? Isn’t the world a better place with less tyranny, oppression and genocide? I’m beginning to wonder when I listen to our anointed President.
I believe he recently, in regards to Iran’s presidential election, said no nation or country should interfere or attempt to influence another nation’s elections. So then, why don’t we leave the poor Castro brothers, Kim Jong-il, Hugo Chavez, Robert Mugabe or any of the Somali pirates alone. Let them do as they please, they’re other nations as well. According to Obama we don’t have the right to interfere.
But here’s what really gets me. After all of his apple-polishing around the world, appearing as a rock star for over a year, maintaining ninety percent of the media doting, deferring and being slavishly compliant towards him, he has the audacity to whine and cry about FOX News reporting on the disinformation his administration is putting out. Left to the rest of the media groups we’d all believe Obama is the second coming of Christ. They give him softball questions in the guise of being objective and perpetually praise him for exacerbating the financial debacle we’re in. Hell, next week it looks like he’s getting his very own infomercial in support of his health-care agenda.
Please Mr. O, man up for once. FOX News is but one media outlet, you have all the others in your pocket. I’m begging, would someone please toss him a hanky, he needs dry those crocodile tears.

Sad but, all too true. Obama blew it over Iran, Israel and looked the boob in Egypt.
