Now that is what I call an improvement over the stammering and stuttering previous Secretary of Treasury Paulson who probably saved the banking system rather quickly.
And he only needed three pages.
Our ignorant and clownish legistators needed more but now pretend they did not understand what they approved.
Paulson knew he needed enough blasting powder to impress the markets as well as US regulators, and needed money authorized before he could commit anything to anybody, while trying to explain the unknown on TV with the world watching when no one knew, including Timothy Geithner, and with less information in those historical moments, than we had within minutes of 9/11
The prolific and historic writer Bob Woodward, originally of Watergate fame, said tonight on Larry King Live that he expects some false starts by the Obama/Geithner administration before they get it right. The kind of change we can all believe in.
When Larry said his youngest son announced that he wished he were black instead of whatever he is, I know nothing, nothing, Woodward awkwardly said his daughter is exited about this historic time also.
That, indeed is a majority opinion, at least that of Woodward’s daughter, because most of us, including me has had Bush fatigue too long and are ready for change. Hopefully politically motivated revisionism based on common unhappiness today and especially when the economy gets better after a year or two or more, will be reserved for the professional hypocrites, not the governing or reporting community. As if there is a difference.
And give Obama a break, a chance to govern, go watch American Idol now and stay with it and be sure to see all the reruns and let Obama make the decisons you did not expect when you voted for him.
