About the Author

I started this two years ago. I was tired of everyone being forced to be politically correct and so I wanted to have a blog to fight that. I never thought that my alter-ego, Politically Correct Fugitive, would become so important, to me, at least. I am saddened, enraged, frustrated and most of all determined to stand up for what I see is right. Thanks to this blog I feel as if I truly do have a voice. I cann now stand up for what I believe in, point out something if I believe it to be wrong and most of all to challenge something or someone if I feel they are on the wrong course and will hurt America.

Media Temper Tantrum

A good day for Republican Women is a bad day for the press

The attack on Sarah Palin scares me. The media no longer even tries for impartiality. They are full force against her and are pulling out all the stops to attack this woman on all levels. They have stooped so low that they even published her Social Security number, address and phone number simply to harass and possibly endanger her and her family. The media doesn’t care if they contradict themselves or who else they take down just as long as they get Sarah Palin.

I never thought I would hear the liberal media suggest that a woman should stay at home with her infant rather than work, but I heard it. I never thought I would hear the same people who fawned over the movie Juno now imply that it is a sign that this teenage girl was “forced” to have the baby because of her mother’s values. I never thought I would hear the same people who defended Obama’s lack of experience go after someone for their supposed lack of experience.

Sometimes I feel as if I am watching a two year old having a tantrum. They are howling and screaming and stomping their feet on the ground. They were so sure that McCain would pick Romney or some other white male who they were sure they could beat. But this? McCain did it again. True to his maverick nickname he picked an unknown woman. And the liberals and media were taken unaware. They really don’t like that. The media is so damn smug because they are always in the loop and know what will happen before the little people do. Not this time.

So the media and liberals are angry. McCain didn’t play by their rules and for that they want to punish him. They will tear Sarah Palin apart and make McCain regret he ever picked her. Except in doing so they are showing their true colors. They are looking more and more like a pack of wolves going after their prey. And it isn’t simply the TV reporters but even the scandal papers like US are going after Sarah. She is being hit from every side while the liberals begin whisper campaigns to raise doubt about her by hinting that McCain might drop her. He won’t. But as I said the liberals will try everything to take down the McCain and Palin ticket. And for the stark fact that they are afraid this ticket might win. And that scares them.

  1. CNN’s Wulf Blitzer and several other CNN reporters, laughably gave up any superficial attempt to be reporters rather than O’Bama advocates in their post convention wrap up coverage. It was embarrassing as they repeatedly told each other “no line had been crossed” in a recent overt and inaccurate attack on Palin and a spokesman about her statutory duties as Governor of Alaska with the National Guard, except for maybe using the word “baby”. Larry King followed with pile on session that included only a senior Obama spokesman, Jesse Venture and Dee Dee Myers. All agreed it was a terrible convention, that the speakers were confusing and non of them were going to vote for McCain/Palin. Imagine that. Larry nodded in agreement.

  2. Well, only what I can hear from Palin and McCain surrogates are smear and character attacks. No issues addressed, no economy program outlined from “hokey mom”. Well, she has told us that her husband is a “world snowmobile champion” and a fisherman, and she introduced her whole extended family. I waited and waited and waited…What to do about economy, what to do about healthcare, what about social security, what about wars in Iraq and Afghanistan…Nothing, nilch, nada…Not from her, not from Thompson, not from Giuliani,…Just a diatribe about a war hero, and about how bad “other side” is. Really, just more of the same…

  3. I agree with you FRED. I was gonna vote for McCain but I changed my mind when he picked Sarah Palin. Also McCain is morphing more and more into a Bushie. I can’t stand another 4 years of the same crap. We need to change the direction which this country is going. Our economy is so bad becoz the Bush Neocons had made it so. McCain, as long as he associates with Bush, can never be a man of his own. He would always appear to be a Bush clone.

We have seen what a dumb president can do to the economy (Bush). And what a bright one can (Clinton).

  4. as usual, liberal activists invading a conservative blog. can’t you even see your own hypocrisy? which of the ‘conventional wisdom-approved’ veep picks would you have preferred? do you seriously believe mccain had any chance to win with any of them? here’s a wakeup call– dja immediately after sept 11 approx 9000, and has been steadily rising ever since, barring slight hickups, now still over 11000. does this sound like a bad economy to you? try the 1970’s under jimmah cahtah 17% inflation, 20% interest charges, stagnant growth. this is what obama offers in the coming years. well, i guess that would be a change, wouldn’t it? why didnt he just choose hilary? just plain ego, on his part and hers. if they had worked out a plan, say, she takes prez 1st and he follows up as 1st black veep and 1st black prez after 8 years, unless they totally screwed it up, 16 years of demo white house. now? most probably, again, barring egregious negligence, very likely 8-16 yrs of republican executive branch. what dems don’t seem to get–american voters want change, but it cuts across both parties. 2006 congress was given a short time to prove they were better than republicans, and, to quote chitty bang bang movie, ” hadja chahnce, muffed it, good day sir”

  5. OK is Alan deranged? or just plain stupid.. Our economy is good?? when Bill Clinton left the White House we had a SURPLUS!!!! Hello! what is the deficit NOW??? Anyone who want 4 more years of the last 8 years HAS got to be INSANE. That would be the only explanation. As far as Sarah Palin.. Let’s see she is against Abortion, but not Pro- life? what is that?? She passed a law in Alaska to require RAPE victims to pay for thier OWN rape kits.. yea, that is a advocate for Woman if I have ever seen one. And the Media is picking on her??? HELLO she won’t even hold a PRESS conference. Let’s see some FACTS about her qualifications. She is Gov of a state that has less People than Santa Clara County!! We all know he picked her to GET The Hillary Vote, no other reason. As a woman I would not set 40 years of progress for Woman back by voting for that Ticket. Poor, poor Sarah and the Media, Well Hillary Held her own with the Media and Sarah should be able to as well!!
