America’s Moment of Truth: Dennis Kucinich files 35 Articles of Impeachment against President Bush

Go Dennis, Go. You too Bush.Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) made history last night.

He introduced 35 Articles of Impeachment against President George W. Bush. This was a gutsy move on Kucinich’s part. He is running for re-election and has just made himself a target for a very vindictive White House. Just ask Valerie Plame-Wilson. However, at the end of his presidential run, Kucinich vowed to bring Articles of Impeachment against Bush if the House failed to act on the Cheney Articles of Impeachment that have been collecting dust for more than a year. He made good on that promise last evening, leaving no stone unturned in his presentation.

The full presentation of the Articles of Impeachment can be seen at:

A thorough read will open your eyes. Many of the charges against President Bush are not new. However, if you are learning about them for the first time, it’s because the mainstream media has been reluctant to pursue these issues and report the facts. The Bush administration is the most corrupt administration in our nation’s history. No other President has done more to undermine the Constitution.

Today, Senator Robert Wexler (D-FL) co-sponsored Kucinich’s Articles of Impeachment against President Bush. For those of you who don’t know Robert Wexler, he has been the champion for Kucinich’s Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Cheney that were filed more than a year ago.

It’s time for the Articles of Impeachment against Bush to move forward without delay. No President (or Vice President) is above the law. That is one of the cornerstones of our democracy and it must be enforced.

There Are 2 Responses So Far. »

  1. The US Congress ignored Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s harebrained impechment bill leaving the 36 short’s futher diminshed and permitting Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton as the only two President’ to be impeached.

  2. The U.S. Congress ignored the impeachment process because it’s loaded with a bunch of cowards who refuse to accept their Constitutional duty to ensure that their elected officials are held accountable for their actions. Lest I’m accused of being partisan, I’m talking about Democrats as well as Republicans.

Nancy Pelosi took impeachment off the table from the day she took office. It is not her table to undress. The table belongs to the American people. The Congress has no business ignoring anything. They are elected officials who answer to the will of the people.

I understand that politics makes strange bedfellows, but someone ought to remind Bush and Pelosi that they do not get to rewrite the U.S. Constitution to fit their political need.
