Subprime Mess Proves A Boon To The Homeless

It definitely beats living under a bridge, in a van, by the river!

Thanks to all those nasty foreclosures due to the subprime mess, there are now enough homes for homeless people to squat in. And the rent is better than any mortgage. It’s free!

Since those nice new homes aren’t boarded up, like a lot of condemned buildings, downtown, vagrants are moving to the suburbs and moving into nice homes: some with hot and cold running water and electricity. And, there’s a lot more privacy than living under the subway.

You don’t have to worry about tripping over that bum that begs on Main street, anymore. He’s living right next door to you and your 2.5 kids!

Hey, at least we know the homeless are safer now that most cities have started kicking them off of the streets, at night. We can sleep soundly knowing they are sleeping in our old neighbors empty house.
