Obama Me, Me.
The Obama campaign is increasingly about how wonderfrul the Obama campaign is. Not sure if that is with or without the Obama girl.
Joel Stein of the LA Times thinks the message is becoming too self referential…..
For sure, the Obama movement is about Clinton and Bush fatigue, is a creature of our pop culture and everyones desire for more peace.
It feels good to talk and feel change coming from someone who has very little experience. And because his absent father was from Africa, no one is yet ready to stick their head out and examine him the way all other candidates already have been for fear of being labeled as racists. Does anyone really know what remarks Bill Clinton said in the last few weeks that earned him and the Hillary campaign the reputation of using the race card? Bill Maher said on Larry King live it was way overblown but black voters are falling in line against the wife of the “first black President”.
We all want to feel better and get back to the good old days. But, unfortunately we as individuals and as groups of like minded individuals and we as a country have such a narrow view of the world and history. We think it is all about us.

This is right on…I can’t get over the fact that everyone jumped on the ban wagon…
No no one is discussing the fact that 80% blacks are for Omama….That’s not racism?

I can’t figure out what leg the democratic party stands on. Perhaps when Kennedy was assassinated the liberals became overwhelmed with the realities of the world. They discovered that they can’t live in a bubble pretending that the world is safe. Perhaps it was during civil rights when they wanted equality for all as they fled from diversity to their white suburban neighborhoods, only to let our cities turn to slums. Perhaps it is the overwhelming guilt of the millions of liberals who helped push the US. military out of Vietnam only to sit back and watch nearly 2 million Cambodians get killed http://www.galenfrysinger.com/killing_fields.htm .
I am a registered independent who has voted both democrat and republican in major presidential elections. I definitely try to be more moderate and I don’t think that religion should play such a role on the right. Yet, I am so confused on liberal positions that I find myself becoming more and more conservative. What serious presidential candidate have the democrats had since Kennedy. Jimmy Carter who helped set the false belief that the US was in an Energy Crisis. In reality there was only a 4% decrease in oil production in the world during his time in office. Carters stance on the false crisis helped spike the prime interest rate to 21% in America.
Bill Clinton, for some reason people seem to love him and think he was a great president. I can’t figure that out at all. What did he do accept do free trade with Mexico and China. Do you think this has something to do with it http://www.punditreview.com/2006/02/14/hillarys-hypocrisy-problem-todays-issue-is-walmart/ . For those of you who don’t click the link, Hillary Clinton was on the board of Wal-Mart. You don’t think that she was making deals with Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is probably the biggest benefactor in the US. because of Clinton’s free trade act. How many billions a year trade deficit do we have with China now.
John Kerry and his famous running line stating something like,”I have a plan. In my plan we will….. In my plan Americans will….. http://www.brutallyhonest.org/brutally_honest/2004/10/john_kerry_the_.html (see all of his plans). How was he going to make any of his plans happen. I have a plan to make 100 million dollars. I have a plan to sleep with a thousand women or men (you still don’t know for sure). I have a plan to to live forever. Yet, I have no way to achieve this so I can’t share my plan with you. It seemed as though Kerry never shared his plans with the American people as he was running for president.
Al Gore, who is he. Yes, he was vice president but what did he do. I don’t really recall anything specific from his vice-presidency. I do recall him running against Bush and thinking what is his plan. It just seemed like his plan was to bash Bush and the war in Iraq. However, if you do a Youtube video search on Al Gore Iran you will see his true stance. While you are at it do a search for Bill and Hillary too. Long before Bush was president you will see clips of Bill and Al stating that Iraq has chemical and biological weapons. They claim that that Suddam was seeking enriched Uranium from Africa to build nuclear weapons too. In some clips you will notice that Al Gore is actually upset that Bush Senior didn’t classify Suddam as a terrorist. Both Bill and Al said that Suddam is a direct threat to the US and his Regime need to be taken out with Military force. Yet, it appears that any liberal, in the general population or running for office, will state that the Bush administration lied and took America to War based on those lies. Am I the only one that finds it confusing. If any president had all of the intelligence reports provided by and before the Clinton administration stating Iraq is supporting terrorists, has weapons of mass destruction, is seeking nuclear technology, is murdering and torturing it’s own people, is breaking all rules in regards with the oil for food program and more….. That president, democrat or republican, shouldn’t be seen as a liar because all of that security information was around for well before their term started.
Hillary, perhaps the biggest flip flopper of them all. Again, just search Hillarie’s stances on Iraq. You will find clips of her appearing that she is yelling at reporters saying that she fully supports Bush to send troops into Iraq. I remember seeing a video where Hillary is stating that Bush didn’t send the troops into Iraq fast enough and that she would have sent them in faster. Then it flips to her current campaign where she states that Bush rushed to judgment sending in the troops and she wouldn’t have rushed like that. Actually, on her stance in Iraq it seems like she has a different stance depending on what audience she has at that exact moment.
Now Obama is confusing to me too. Perhaps I am not following his campaign enough but again I see nothing but the democrats running a bumper sticker campaign. They are running on a the slogan “It’s time for a change in America.” It seems that people think a black man is the change we need in the white house. Again this is confusing to me on a multitude of levels. For one he is mother is white and his father black. How does that make him black. Second, I believe that he was raised by his grandparents who are both white. It’s so ironic to me that so many people appear to want to vote for a politician based only on the color of their skin or their Gender. When are liberals going to see the hypocrisy on nearly every single stance that they take. They will vote for someone because they are black yet they don’t see the very prejudice that most of liberals are against.
Why do people think that we need a change. Are things really that bad. Yes, their are more foreclosures across the country right now forcing people to loose their homes but is that bad. Their has been no time in history that so many people have owned their home. Even after all of the foreclosures I believe that there will be many, many more people earning equity who are moving forward financially because they managed to make their monthly payments. Do the people in this country just want housing prices to keep rising forever so until nobody can afford a home. Do people want change because of the war with Iraq? It seems like so many people, including Obama, want to pull the troops out of Iraq. Do people not understand that we still have hundreds of thousands of troops all over the world from WWII, Korea and other conflicts. Perhaps, after the first Gulf war if Clinton wouldn’t have pulled our weapons inspectors out of Iraq war may have never been necessary. Do people not see that we have had no terrorist attacks in the US. since 911 and have had less terrorist attacks on US. interests throughout the world since the 1960’s. Do people not understand that a weak dollar can stimulate American manufacturing to help boost the economy. http://www.american-partisan.com/cols/2003/iconoclast/qtr3/0922.htm .
That’s all.
