Bush Changes Constitution, Opposition OK With That

No MatterEnough energy to power a fleet of hybrid cars sufficient to provide transport to the EPA has been spent yapping about all the things Bush does to violate the constitution and take our privacy and other rights away, so say nothing of the right of non citizens. Too bad it is all wasted.

Bush & Company has decided, based on the acceptance of his legislative power gained through his signing statements, that the Republican still have an “effective” majority in both houses. After consulting in private with the Rover, he figures many millions of dollars of campaign money can be saved and allocated only to fight for those seats really necessary for sufficient silent sympathy to his signing statements which of course most presidents have used, just not as creatively as he has, due significantly to this silent compliance and abdication of the vocal opposition.

  1. Chief,
I don’t know if anyone told you or not yet but the EPA was put on the endangered species list. They have NO hybrid cars. They do have enough duct tape to cover up half of their required EPA report to congress and 3/4 of the grand canyon. And BUSH said they/HE would if CONGRESS (who?) didn’t back OFF this “green stuff.”

  2. Are you still interested in keeping the world green?

I would ask you to check out the subcommittee on science and technology (no there is NO home work) but there is an interesting question?

Did the President say in his last SOTU speech he was pushing for “clean coal” alternative energy? I’m not sure because for the first ten minutes I thought the president was a victim of the Hollywood writers strike and I was watching a rerun on network TV.

I should have known he would never honor a picket line.

FutureGen a 1.5 Billion dollar (est) public-private power production Co. ” is reputed to take coal and turn it into clean hydrogen gas. Then it will capture the Carbon dioxide gas and store it in various places like underground dry oil wells, aquifers, (under the dog house maybe they’re still working on that part.)

They are still working on LOTS of parts of it, but you know that won’t keep them from fighting over the placement of the pork.

Yes the PORK not the carbon dioxide. Rumor has it the reason that the FUTUREGEN project has stopped is because SOMEONE wants it in TExAS not in IL. Well it is logical, the test site is in FLORIDA.

Now what do those two site have in common?

  4. So what is with the silence on Bush’s signing statement?

  5. SILENCE ON SIGNING STATENENTS? It could be that they are legal, they want them(the Dem’s) for themselves. Now that Addington has let the proverbial barn door open they may want to ride the Stallion right into their own Imperial Presidency. Fools. I fear the same lack of reason is hear as is evident in the impeachment controversy.

The last thing either party should want and does need is a “hero president”, a “king or queen.”
What ever happened to the idea the real commitment to PUBLIC SERVICE?

  6. By the impeachment controversy, you mean they may not be pursuing impeachment for the same reason as not pursuing signing statements? Not sure what you mean.

  7. well, it does seem to follow a certain twisted logic. If power is the ultimate opiate and the senate and congress persons are the third axis of this triangle of power and the ultimate “pool” from which the second and third axises of power must either be drawn from or approved through, what would it matter if the president had all the power in the country? They are in essence one three headed Hydra. Drawing power from, not the people or the constitution, but their own self sustaining incestuous behavior. Signing statements are unethical, but not unconstitutional, but the behavior the president embarks upon due to these statements is illegal. The senate and the congress are morally yet not legally obligated to impeach this president. Because they do not impeach this president his illegal behavior continues unchecked. Just as it does because no one seems to care about the moral abuse of the signing statement and the illegal activity that follows there from.

The logic is convoluted, But I cannot see the flaw? DO you?

  8. Twisted, convoluted but very, kinda, sorta, somewhat clear…..I’ll let you know if I find a flaw. I gotta look that hydra thing up.

  9. Here, Bill, maybe this helps.Hydra
