Tonight in the Las Vegas debates, after Tim Russert asked John Edwards if his talking to Pakistani President Musharraf right after the Bhutto Assasication was appropriate given the belief by so many Pakistani’s that Musharraf was involved, Edward painted his wagon into a corner and I certainly hope I am not the only one to have noticed.
I posted this to “Poke The Press” because Tim Russert did not “ask appropriate followup questions” he asserted he would do just before the debates as a way to get to the truth. BAD, BAD Mr Russert.
In other venues I heard him say that he called Musharraf. In another venue a reporter asked him what he told the President and what his response was and Edwards said, I am happy to tell you what he (Musharaff) said”
“He said he had not thought about that, but he would consider it.” I truly regret this poor pun, but we have heard about the meaning of what it “is” or means under oath by Bill Clinton years before and I want no more of it. Let’s nominate O’Bama!
In tonight’s debate he says he talked to the ambassador from Pakistan and not directly to the President. That sounds like an ordinary non politician like a lie. If not an outright lie, it seems like the kind of posturing we can not well live with.
Someone should direct him to the Chief Hypocrite who may be willing to collaborate with him in a fake interview with Musharraf.
