This report just submitted by an unnamed undercover Hypocritical Mole deep, deep inside the Iowa caucauses:
JohnWords is leading in the Democratic race and Mitty on the Republican side although Huckleberry Gov of the Ark is surging out of nowhere. No one knows who he is but they like him, so….
There are two kinds of Iowans today in this Feb 29th kind of event.
Those who are incredibly serious about what is going on and on the other end those who ignor it or think it will make no difference whatsoever so do not participate. There is no middle ground in Iowa as to participation. They go to the meetings or they avoid them.
Democrats in Iowa have not traditionally held this state overall but last time did elect a Democratic governor. In the race there so far, Hillary came out of the starting gates strong, then O’bomer closed ranks and it looks like JohnWords is going to surge ahead.
Stay tuned.
Comment by Management on 29 December 2007:
As of December 29, 2008 this seems to be right on.
The Gov of the Ark is “way” ahead in the quick changing sometimes fickle polls and it is being driven by his religion on his sleeve approach which seems to be a winner amongst those polled.
He says no ones’ religion should be why he is elected not why he is not elected, after being asked about Mitty. He says he just wants those who claim a religion to demonstrate their beliefs in their life and their policies. Someone should have the political fortitude to explain what secular policies driven by religious beliefs actually produces. Which religion? The one with the biggest army or larges population or the most vehement, violent supporters? If one honestly studies all of what religions teach, how can they not see the signature of religion as government in the current continuation of the millennial religious wars we are still in the middle of today, in the middle of oil and in the middle east. Sounds like a lot of middling.
JohnWords is maintaining his strength in Iowa and coming on stronger in his rhetoric. He told Bloomberg News that he would lower the price of gas…that he can really do that. He would not negotiate with all the parties involved in the healthcare system because they will never give up their POWER so he would take it away from them and tell them what they will be doing.
The O’Bomer would get all parties together, including the legislature which does control so much of the terms of the game, and seek a concensus JohnWords says won’t work.
JohnWords also says he and O’bomer want to change the “system” but that Hills supports the “system” a referral to the current political system which is complex, imperfect, unfair that has been “built” by various special interests groups including lawyers like him who get rich due on “system”. “Evil Corporations” are not him! Although he invests in them, advises them, get paid by them and it’s is possible he does his lawyering inside a corporation type legal entity, maybe a Limited Liability company or partnership of some sort. Why would he do that? To protect himself against lawyers like him!
